Bull shit. Remakes/Reboots/Reimaginations are made so that things can be done with the film that could not be done before, so that better effects and audio/visual quality can be used, and so on. Some people think the new Friday The 13th sucks, but that is probably just because it is more of an omage (spelling?), or tribute (one made through "cherrypicking", or conglomerating the "best elements", at that), than a true remake.
