  • Infantile commentary.

  • Bisguier played Fischer 15 times and lost 13 of them, with one draw. The solitary victory was his first game with Fischer, when Bobby was 13. As this video proves, Fischer could beat Bisguier in his sleep.

I have to wonder, though, if Bisguier isn't exaggerating on how close Fischer came to losing this game on time. Fischer was known for being a fast player who never got in time trouble. He could certainly afford to take a nap during his games.

  • Could you imagine Fischer's reaction if he'd have lost on time?

  • thats just rude of fischer to fall asleep whilst he's playing, and very disrespectful to his opponent. he's lucky he was playing somebody much more polite than himself!

  • @iliginjaili LOL

  • It might be good sportsmanship to wake your opponent up, but it's bad sportsmanship to fall asleep. I would've left him.

  • It was NO blunder, just an honourable player playing honourably. As 99% of them do now, and in days gone by.(With the notable exception of the bitter karpov-korchnnoi world championship matches.)

  • I've got the book,

  • Jesus this is how good the guy was - he could sleep and still win.

  • good ole' fischer!!! -_- zzzzzzzzzzzz...... o.O you dare wake me?!?! now you pay! CHECK MATE!!!!

  • Bisguier should of moved Be7 pinning the queen to the king. then wake up fischer.

  • FUNNY!

  • Well, you don't want to tell your children that the only time you beat Fischer was because he was sleeping, so it was the only right move to do.

  • sportsmanship! he made the rigth move.

  • Hilarious.

  • D'oh.

  • There is a red arrow starting from the black king and stretching all over the a1-h8 diagonal :)) made me laugh

  • @KirKanu haha those arrows in the vid are completely meaningless!

  • what a stupid vid ohh bis woke fischer up great,,,,wot else was he gonna do win and then have to admit he only beat him cos he was asleep

  • @d4bmcc lmao ikr

  • ..."steel" plate; " ... and would loudly proclaim to ..." It's late, okay?

And folks think Bobby was a little eccentric. Loved the post about Mel Gibstein ...

  • Bisguier, after having a few dozen shots of schnapps during post-game analyses, would insist that he be addressed as "Sir Polly the Parrot."

If you left out the "Sir," you would be mercilessly pelted with magnetic chess pieces, loudly proclaiming to horrified reporters, "Look! That one hung on for a second! He's got a stell plate in his head!"

So there it is: "Sir Polly the Parrot."

  • Lmao if Fisher is your opponent and he's asleep, why on God's earth would you wake him up...

  • I have that book!

  • stop the video at 0:20 and check out how the black king is attacking the hanging white rook... what a lack of foresight on white's part LOL!

  • hahaha the ending "chess blunder" was randomly awesome!

  • this is stupidity

  • that was so random.

  • so stop hatin just cus your jealouse that were full of fatties and your country is most likely full of people who hate us bcus they wish they could be fat like us

  • i had heard this story before but still enjoyed the vid.btw "My 60 Memorable Games" is back in print,i would reccomend this book to anyone.

  • @60tat But this edition differs greatly from the original, unabridged version.

  • amerrekans are too stupid for chess. Fisher was a one off.

  • Ever hear of Paul Morphy before? You know, the guy hailed as the world's best player in his time?

  • That was last century, right? Ok, I am wrong. The truth be that once in a century an amerrekan intelligent enough to play chess is born. In this century the highest rated amerrekan is a russian defectionist and runner up is of japanese ancestry.

  • You are wrong again. Plenty of "ammerekans" are born intelligent enough to play chess. Once per century, an "ammerekan" is born intelligent enough to be WORLD CHAMPION at chess.

But the fact that you never heard of Morphy belies just how little you know about the game. Your opinion is just as informed as any football pundit who never heard of Joe Montana or any baseball pundit who never heard of Babe Ruth. So thank you for your insight.

  • who said I never heard of crazy Paul Morphy? I know a lot about him, his great talent and famous games. I know about chess, otherwise I wouldn't have watched this video. I am just saying that he played in the last century (and not for long). You should stick to Montana and babe ruth and all those stupid amerrekan games.

  • *YOU* said you never heard of Paul Morphy. Your statement "Fisher[sic] was a one off" makes it clear you believe that Fisher was the only great American chess player. So keep stupid "ammerekan games", your opinion is just as informed as any soccer pundit who never heard of Pele, or any boxing pundit who never heard of Muhammad Ali, or any cricket pundit who never heard of Donald Bradman, or any hockey pundit who never heard of Wayne Gretzky. Now please, keep backpedaling some more.

  • man, you are pointlessly or annoyingly talkative. I shall stop replying to you.

  • @NixonIn2008 Exceptions only prove the rule!

  • no friends?

  • @stuffyfreerunner no sorry mate, i can't introduce any of my friends to you because they are straight and wouldn't like to meet a fag like you. try shove a dildo up your ass.

  • Oh I am proud you can pronounce dildo and ass

so if you could lend my your dildo for a sec...

now go to your mommy faggot

  • @antoniocherry you cant even spell American right. Americans Own the world. Shows how stupid they really are ehh. Too say anyone is stupid just based off the country they r from is completely immature. something a 10 year old would say. Yah America does messed up stuff round the world so lets hate on them n say their dumb. If your so smart stop us! Its not like were the first n or the worst! there isnt a country in the world that hasnt produced ill minded men who had domination on their mind.

  • @SHANKnSPANK89 You are an example of stupid amerrekan. You put words in my mouth and then comment on those. "If you are so smart stop us", typical bullish aggressive attitude for which we all think that amerrekans are dumb. In any case, before citicizing my spelling check your awful english. English is not my mother tongue, while you are an english speaker and don't even know the verb "to be". Do yourself a favour and go to school.

  • @ErBuferaRoma It's not hard to find an example of a stupid american. Stupid, and American, generally go hand in hand.

  • I'm sorry to announce that China is owning America's ass right now. That's how you "own the world".

  • @SHANKnSPANK89 Americans don't own jack shit, idiot. The military industrial complex, which is an arm of the Illuminati elite, is what controls usa assets, not you. You're a dumbed down herd member idiot who is systematically being enslaved, and you're too clueless to realize it.

"homeland security" and "Patriot act" are proof that I'm correct.

  • @antoniocherry Fischer was much more of a Soviet than an American, both in terms of his values and his approach to chess. Fischer taught himself how to read Russian before going through puberty, so he could study their games and analysis. He mostly ignored what the American chess players were doing because compared to the Soviets, it was like comparing Kindergarten to Premed.

  • @jasonrepa So, the fact that he studied russian chess books makes him " much more of a Soviet than an American"? That's very far fetched because all GMs studied the great russian masters. His style was not particularly russian, anyway. In my opinion, he was a very logical person who didn't care about what other thoughts of him because his selfestime was so high. But when he spoke about the jewish lobby and the us government he was mostly right, as history is showing us today. RIP Bobby.

  • Comment removed

  • @antoniocherry Not all GM's studied the games of the Soviets with anywhere the ferocity that Fischer did. Reread my previous post about when I explain to you that he taught himself how to read Russian before his teens. Most of the first books he read were Russian Chess books. This is NOT what the other American players were doing, as a matter of course. You are incorrect.

His style resembled Russian much more than it did American. You don't even know what 'style' means in chess.

  • @jasonrepa You should write a book about Fisher's style, I am sure that it will be a bestseller. Most likely Kasparov and Anand will want to write the foreword. I think yu dont know what the difference between a bishop and a dick is. I heard most of his interviews and he never said anything in favour of the soviets. he just criticised the us-jewish system. And practically he was stripped of his citizenship because of his criticism

  • @antoniocherry You know, for a guy who claims to be a Fischer expert, you should at least educate yourself a little bit and understand that it is Fischer (not Fisher). Fischer has said repeatedly that the Russians were his chess heroes, and that even after they cheated him in tournaments, and gave him bad press, he still considered them heroes as chess players. You need to stop talking out of your ass and listen/learn/understand before you speak. I shouldn't have to hold your hand here.

  • @antoniocherry A child could have done the necessary research to be able to confirm what i said, in a matter of seconds. Amazing how you're too brain dead to be able to:

Type: 'Bobby Fischer Interview Russians' into a YouTube search box.

Watch, listen, and *try* to learn something for once in your life!

  • @antoniocherry He wasn't stripped of anything. Once AGAIN you are talking out of your ass and don't have a clue! They were trying to PREVENT him from relinquishing his American citizenship because they wanted to extradite him back to the US. Fischer's lawyers had to work diligently, in cooperation with the Icelandic Parliment, to be able to pull the thing off.

His passport was surreptitiously canceled because of his criticism, not his citizenship. LISTEN, LEARN, UNDERSTAND!

  • @jasonrepa OK, I am tired of discussing with a halfwit who just takes sentences out of context in order to show that he is right or picks on Fisher instead of Fischer. Fuck off.

  • @antoniocherry You're the halfwit here and I PROVED it! You're running away now because you're frustrated that you got OWNED in every sense of the word.

Run along to the Lisa Lohan fan blog where you can be in like intellectual company. You're both too stupid and too ignorant to have an intelligent discussion.

  • @jasonrepa lol retard

  • @Alexon88 You're the retard here kid. Try expanding your vocabulary beyond 10 words.

  • @antoniocherry Yes it did. He rejected American materialism and superficiality in favour of the more serious and systematic Soviet Approach. Fischer himself has said repeatedly that the Russian Grandmasters were his heroes. He idolized them and emulated them. We're talking about a guy who turned down sponsorship because he didn't believe in the product.

Learn a bit about the man before you give your 'opinion' about what you think you know. Listen to his radio interviews. Look at his games.

  • @antoniocherry Fischer also renounced his own American citizenship! He repeatedly vocalised his contempt for American culture, values, as well as the gargantuan Jewish lobby in America and the American gov.

How much more proof do you need?

As I said, listen to his interviews and learn something. I host them all on one of my websites.

Just google for: Bobby Fischer Radio Interviews. My website will be the first result.

  • That was so funny

  • Arthur looks kind of like Al Franken in that picture...

  • Lmao Arthur BISCURIAY??!!

    It's pronounced Bis-guy-er.

Gotta love Bisguier, still very much alive and well and still playing. A true gentleman.

  • @Dessan01 Did you guys know that Fischer defeated Bisquire 13 times in a row, with no draws in between?

  • no, it's pronounced Bis-gwe- ay

  • @koetjesreep123456789

Lol only to retards who can’t read silent letters, dickhead ;-)

  • @Dessan01

his name is originaly french. If you knew how french people pronounce his name, you would know i am right! retard...

  • @koetjesreep123456789

Lol well put it this way, Arthur himself pronounces it Bis-guy-er I’ve heard him say it in a documentary about Bobby Fischer - I think the man knows how to say his own name, you silly cunt.

  • Wow. I bet you that Fischer's brain was working out the situation while he slept.

  • @fatesofgreedom It's a joke, idiot!

  • @fatesofgreedom I'm pretty sure he was actually composing love letters to Mel Gibson centered around their mutual admiration for Zionism.....

  • lol
