look at norway = highest median income - number 1 in education- no poverty - free health care- 9xmore patents per capita - almost no crime-2nd in women elected (sweden1us66)- people live better in prison there than most of our lower middle class and poor - they refuse to send prisoners to the united states - not just because of the death penalty but because its inhumane - we would all be better off with socialism - that said there's a better solution to our problems -the resource based economy

@MrIzzyDizzy Norway digs it's money from the underground so thumbs up for them for not being like Russia or Abu Dhabi where few get all the money and the rest just get stuck with what's left but still it's not like they create this wealth they just export oil and buy everything from abroad. @davpea1 Unlikely that those in power will allow an uncontrolled collapse. Scenario - there will be a switch to another reserve currency, whether it be the IMF SDR, BRIC basket or a currency that is purely electronic/digital - no one can touch it.

The key is sovereign debt REpayments. Western governments including UK have spent beyond their capability to repay. Theoretically the BIS could net the differences but bond holders will suffer. So expect in the UK & elsewhere, transfer of wealth.
