  • Man, those CUBIX boxes would make one hell of a CUDA cracker! xD

  • Just bought a GTX560 TI to use with Octane Render. Is a QUADRO 4000/5000 worth the cost or will a GTX580 with 3GB do the same job?

  • How painful was this program to code? KUDOS!

  • Who makes the Music?

  • Cool song! Who does it??

  • will a single GTX 560 Ti be good enough ?

plz someone tell me, i need to know as soon as possible

    thanks

  • @monimoni0147 Good enough for what? It will still be a lot more faster than CPU ( even 2 x 6 cores Intel ).... But be careful to take a card with a normal/normal+ amount of RAM ( above 1Gb ... )

  • @RalenSanis . whay above 1 gb? can i render whit a ati 6870?it has 1 gb... what if ill'put on another one of 6870?

  • @BobbyZgangialf Memory does not add up as the same 3D scene has to be loaded into both cards. Besides the application only works on nVidia cards.

  • Are you kidding me....! wtf is that super powerfull hardware!

  • Hi, I have demo version of octane render, could you tell me please if in full version is possible import objects also with material? I dont want to setup an everything in this software, only render.

  • how it faster than single GPU mode? 50%?

  • @hubman46 I can't rememeber the numbers but I know it's alot more than that. between 75-100

  • this looks like an AWESOME program :D but...before I buy it.... I need a new computer, plus I have to finish studying Blender....an i should probably find a demo if it exists so I know how to use it before I buy it :l...so many decisions

  • GGGLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE *dies*

  • wow that is so f***king FAST, is it possible to play games with this technology?

  • @TheCryborg I honestly hope you're kidding.

  • @TheCryborg No, this program is just for rendering images or animations. Hence the name "octane 'render'"

  • @TheCryborg

Obviously, we aren't there yet but clearly that day is coming.

  • That is like 6,000,000 times f***ing faster than the normal renderer. XD

  • Does it support animations, photon mapping, caustics?

It looks like a better idea than a render farm. I am talking about the CUBIX, if i render an animation, am I gonna have my PC free to do another set of animation?

    render farm vs CUBIX.

    Hmmm...

  • I wonder where's the fan sound~~

  • Show me some caustics and I'll snatch it up from you. xD

  • just used it really impressesd by it on a 9800gtx Can't stand test rendering as it can eat up days, waiting around. So this is great.

Can't believe people on the forums are talking about buying 4 480geforce cards. And they sounds like school kids too. Some people have more money then sense if you ask me. :p tho saying that I'd do it too, just for shits and giggles, if a million squid fell in my lap, .

  • @SupaPoopaScoopa

don't judge it before you try it it.. that's just because software is cheaper , all other renderes are priced like at the price of 2 gtx 480 like Arion render (around 800euro - tried it it's crap), and you get the same software as this one, only octane is better.. it is worth getting 4 480gtx cards just for that, it's not like buying 4 way sli so I can test the new game for FPS.. now that's way stupid

  • @crash0510 It obviously depends on your output, if your rendering Starwars then I can see you might need 4x 480gtx,

Octane is superfast on two cards. What are your needs?

Some people just want more more more, with no needs. But like I said, which should have halted and need for a response in the first place. I'd do it too, if money was know object.

  • It's priced at 49 euro / $60 usd until June 4th!

  • duz blender render with cpu or gpu?

  • @alltimegamer247 blender renders and works exclusively with the CPU. Octane isn't free like blender, but at 99 euros--$129 or so USD. it's really aggressively priced. I suggest getting the free test version of Octane.

  • @Poler777 thenx for the advice

  • Nice, but what's with the low tech recording? Capturing what's on your monitor with a camcorder? C'mon, man. Was there a significant drop in performance when capturing a video + Octane rendering?

  • @Bubbaloo1974

AFASK, using a camcorder lets you see the speed of octane. If you used something loke camtasia for example, it would slow down render times.

  • осом!)

  • Impresivee

  • Very nice!

  • Охуенно

  • Extreme speed :-D
