  • i love how he spells caespitosa

  • I would literally buy every one.

  • PEYOTE

  • Those cacti are beautiful and it would be wonderful to own such a collection. There are plenty of retards of any race that would go out and improperly harvest one (Loph. W.) from the wild.

  • Please, don't assume all white people are that way. Lucky Asians and American Indians, for example, have a neat culture... Whites don't have shit. If we (caucasian people) do, someone please remind me...

  • @Underwaterer our culture is all the great technology, electricity the internet fuck yeah!

  • alguem pode legendar ? can anybody subtitle ?

  • Comment removed

  • translate please ! i cum in my pants every time i see this

  • @chr1st1an20061 LOL I know right! man I wish I had a collection like this!

  • a translation would be cool, would interesting to understanding him and his ideas...

  • To use it out of context and without respect, to try to give your empty lives a sense of magic, of spiritual elevation. Why don’t you stick to your synthetic drugs? You are really a cancer of the earth! You believe that you are very different from your colonialist and conquistador ancestors? Think again!

  • You fucking white people, you are always the same with very few exceptions. Always raping the earth, the nature, the land, contaminating and destroying the heritage, land, and culture of the aboriginal peoples of the land. Now it is your new gold rush, the new commodity that you want to acquire no matter if you destroy it or extinguish it for the natives.

  • @buscadordeamor rofl, then get off the white internet and white computer you dumb wetback, go live like a native. no one's stopping you in mexico because no one wants to go there.

  • @buscadordeamor What you are witnessing my hateful young friend is a return to the Earth by all of God's children, your abuse of these children makes me question your connection to Spirit... Have you no eyes to see the opportunity to embrace a return to the old ways? Lay aside your hatred and seek Spirit perhaps S/He will give you love for the children.

  • @buscadordeamor buscador de amor??? it doesn't look like you're really "buscando amor"... p.s.: those cacti are grown from seed... with love... that man is actually preserving nature... and i would not really call him "white"...

  • I wonder if they know it's "special"

  • the probleme with this plant you buy it because you know what it does but then you realize its pretty a fragile plant that grow slowly. Every year it grow a bit and each and 6 year after your buy your plant is 3 inch high with 6 button coming out every where and start flowering

how can you eat that know since the plant make so muche effort to go there

  • beautifull - i feel sorry for the mexicans - we probably have more lophs here in australia than they have over there - because we do respect them and keep the species alive - such a pity they have been raped in mexico

  • thats the most beautiful thing ive ever seen.

  • no swearing when talking about plants -use that for your man made drugs please!!

  • no loot our cactis... MEXICO

just leave them grow naturaly...in our country¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

    mal pedo

  • The dude is taking a huge risk they kill people in thailand for even possessing these plants.

  • hahahahahaha

  • FUCK ME! Thai peyote. Is there anything these guys can't do?

One more reason to go there! YuuuummmmmyyYyyy!!!

  • @octopusfilms um maybe they fucking shitpped it ok. r u thai?

  • how do you get them to grow litle side cactus?

  • @nabuchodonosor9 the L. williamsii species usually grows small pups as they are called after some years of growing. If this species or any other are grafted onto a faster growing root stock they can sometimes produce more prolific pupping. There is also a varietal that he talked about called the var. caespitosa, which never really matures the already present top crowns but constantly pups and produces many, many, many immature crowns

  • while it has been known that overharvesting of peyote in the mexican-american border has been contributing to its endangered status, the seeds are widespread elsewhere in the world and are legal. He is a collector, but most likely a professor in the field of botanicals. While he might not be teaching of its spiritual value associated with indigenous americans', he is keeping its presence in the world and knowledge alive.

  • He can tell that it's a jourdiana variety due to it's flower, 9:12 at the end the videographer is just going over what the teacher has gone over. Acharn, or Arjarn, or อาจารย์ means teacher, professor, someone you learn something from. In other words this means that this dude is in some position of academia to be able to speak upon such matters, not just a eccentric collector.

  • 5:27 is a specimen he bought from Jatujak (JJ) market fricii, 5:29 is a specimen he bought from Gaan janaburi, fricii also, he comments on how the fricii come out bluish with a mix of blue and how 5:44 there are fricii caespitosa varieties, 7:00 he talks about a much sought "william var. jourdiana" or williamsii var. jourdiana, which is very similar to fricii with a pink flower, but more green than fricii varieties. this specimen was obtained as a graft from Japan.

  • these folks are making a botanical identification video for the Lophophora genus and its williamsii variants. Pretty wonderful considering I'm Thai =D He's just marveling at the variants, their beauty, features. He also talks about how one of them has been cultivated in his family since his father's generation. 4:09 he talks about how that specific lophophora was his uncle's favorite, "fricii." ~20 years old, they were old grafts. 5:10 it was a bare rooted specimen

  • speachless!!!!!!!!!! fantastic

  • It's fucking beautieful I think. Absolutely beautieful.

  • Wau! Espectacular.

  • now i can go to search peyote...

  • ★★★★★

    so beautiful..

  • Why do you assume this? These people could be helping to keeping this precious species alive.

  • bullshit, you moron; these most likely were lovingly grown from seed by people who are exponentially smarter than you ever will be. plants like these cannot be dug from the deserts of North America and shipped all the way to Thailand. Use your brain, butt-mud.

  • @KGB1222 I have been a cactus grower for almost 30 years. I fully know how long it takes to grow various cacti from seed, including the cultivation requirements of Lophophora sp.

When growing in its native habitat it takes many years to achieve the size in this video. However, in cultivation, it only takes about 3 years to go from seed to flowering adult, and even less time when the yearling is grafted onto rootstock.

I object mainly to your puerile statement, "fuck asia in general."

  • Yes I agree with you that peyote may flower in 3 years if the conditions are right under HID lights in a grow room.. where you can monitor the environment, these are in a green house, and I am most certain they are not three years old, even when they are in a grow room they seldom top 1.5 cm a year, the cactus' in this video are not grafted. Im also calling bullshit on you growing cactus for 30 years, and you were just trolled with the fuck asia in general.. some of these are easy 30 years old.

  • @KGB1222 You are right...no need to waste time on a troll. You are also right about my not having grown cacti for 30 years: to be truthful, it's been a little over 31 years if you count the 1st one I was given in 1978 (which I wasn't). You are showing your extreme ignorance here and assuredly aren't worth my time trying to educate.

  • @AnnaLemmaMucosa fuck where you come from too we are asian but never blame your country bullshit

  • @AnnaLemmaMucosa go fuck yourself

  • no loot our cactis... MEXICO

    no loot our seed ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

just leave them grow naturaly...in our country¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • @AnnaLemmaMucosa so what are you doing for the world you bullshit too just rambling around

  • @AnnaLemmaMucosa comon

    bitch

  • @AnnaLemmaMucosa comon what have you done for the world

  • well done

  • where is this pllace

  • WHOA

  • Y sabra para que sirven?

chino culiao mandate unos pa chile!!!

  • wtf

  • those ariocarpus in the back are reeeaaaallly huuuuge...

  • I live in New England and ordered some seeds online. Can't say where they originally came from because I don't know. So I'm growing some now too. Preservation and cultivation isn't bad. It's destroying the natural habitat and removing whole groups of them that causes damage.

This looks like a great vid, but I wish I could understand what he was saying. Subtitles? Please?

  • Man you find these

    things everywhere!!

    Especialy here in R.G.V

    Texas.

  • Wheres R.G.V.?

  • So our sacred cactus is being learned about in Thailand?....Thats fantastic.

  • your sacred cactus? are you a member of the native american church? or just a postmodern hippie...

  • No piece of paper is gonna change what i believe,my ancestors didn't need to be a "member" of anything and neither do I.I'm native american yes.

  • And why is it sacred to you... what makes it sacred... its just a mescaline (and other substances) containing cactus...

  • what do u care?

  • who says i do... just curiosity

  • it connects me to something bigger than myself, its hard to explain. When u hear the rattles and the singing...ahhh

  • its quite something

  • i wish there was a translation.....does anyone speaks Thai?

  • is this bahasa indonesia language??

  • damn dude ... iwant sum lol

  • We should be thankful for this guys efforts in preserving this sacred plant. It is better than some jerk-off taking them from the wild and then not caring for it or making more from it. There is NO evidence that these were robbed from the desert. Pretty asinine statement to assume so.

  • These plants should be in the chihuahuan desert instead of a fuckin flowerpot in thailand. Practically all are endangered species.

  • the more peyote growing all over the world the better. may preserve the species

  • Dont works like that. This plants have obviously been robbed directly from the desert. When you do that you are interfering with the genetic flow in the population. Its like have a lot of tigers in the zoos and circus but neither in nature. If you want a lophophora you must cultivate it, DONT STEAL IT FROM THEIR HABITAT.

  • i hear they are really tasty.

  • Theyre extremely bitter. Though I am in disagree with the consumption of these cactus ('cause their status of endangered specie) , I cant do anything if you want to go to the desert to experience it. Just be sure to ONLY cut the head of the plant and put sulphur on the root (it makes the plant heals faster), so the root can grow a new head again (like in 30 years).

  • Greenhouse grown plants can reach this size in 10 years. These plants are swollen and fat, not like native plants which are flatter and more broad. I have seen Koehres in Germany who has plants twice as big all grown from SEED buddy, not stolen from Texas.

  • Im not sure of that. The asian countries are famous for extract a lot of cacti species to commercialize it. Yeah, this plants seems very healthy to be native, but the plants can acclimatize and look like those when are in ideal greenhouse conditions. What about all those plants showed, you really think the guy cultivate it all? It seems like a particular collection,

  • I dont think a single man cultivate like a 300 extremely rare plants for 15 years...Moreover, those Lophophora have a wide range of polimorfism, he must cultivate a seed from texas, a seed from chihuhua a seed from san luis... Hope youre right, but i dont think so...

  • It is possible if he is a good plants man he could, he would just need a couple of strains to produce seed. 15 years is long time. He could've had about 5 generations.

  • @psilocybit

    You are disgrace to Indians!

  • its not chinese, sucker..

    it's thailandese..its written

  • think its chines

  • Can't understand them(other than the species name) But they are beautiful old plants! I really like the Ariocarpus in the background though!

  • so beautiful !!

  • i understood 4 words ;)
