  • Weasle!!

  • my dad was here

  • what a horrible finish. only in the AWA.

  • @MadcapLaugh3 But he got the weasel suit on him.

  • oh my god i remember this match this was funny i was laughing so hard its unreal

  • The Weasel suit matches were one of the best gimicks ever made in wrestling. It wore itself out because everyone wanted to wrestle Bobby Heenan. But Bobby Heenan was one of the best talkers in wrestling entertainment, and I do not mean exclusively AWA, WWE or WWF.

  • Classic Bobby Heenan!

  • what a lame match! Greg Gagne is the only wrestler that the average guy could beat up. nepotism at its finest, totally lame

  • @gonzomoya420 I think it's safe to say Greg Gagne was never into steroids or any other performance-enhancing drugs during his career.

  • My brother and I saw this match when I was 10 years old and we still talk about it to this day! One of those forever classic matches!

  • POP goes the weasel!

  • I went to this match. As I recall, this was a mid-card match, but every fan in attendance wanted to see this one. When Gagne got the fall, the place erupted. This match got almost as much coverage as Verne Gagne's retirement match.

  • I loved AWA back at the Civic center. I remember this match very well. Late 70's early 80's produced some awesome matches with in my opinion the best wrestlers. Shit today is garbage.

  • This was fun to watch....it brings back memories!!!

  • I believe this is the Ottawa Civic Center. I was there. Great memory.

  • This match is from the St. Paul Civic Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

  • I always wondered how he became known as the Weasel. Thanks for posting

  • @OnTheRun167 You and I both, now I know. good upload!

  • It's a choke!

  • WOW!!!! That was a AWESOME match!!!! The atmosphere reminds me a lot of the Miami Beach Convention Center!! Thanks for sharing!

  • R.I.P. Wally Karbo! Great memories.

  • yup if you were a wrestler back then and wanted to go to the top company, in the late 70's early 80's! aWa was it. verne had all the tv companys, had all the top wrestlers even hogan. but verne was stubbern, he didn't want to modernize, go with the times. wanted to stay old school, or nothing. grew up watching the aWa, I'll never forget the crusher tearing up 2 yellow page phone books in a interview. they don't make em tough like that anymore.

  • LOL this is something else. Too funny. :D

  • I think I remember reading about this match in Heenan's autobiography. This is fun.

  • THE AWA was the greatest ever. Hear that Mcmahon. You will NEVER compare.

  • and i agree with you 100%

  • THis is what I grew up on.The story lines were awesome. The wrestlers used to come thu here on their way up to Winnipeg to wrestle. And sometimes the crusher would stop for a few beers. He even wore a tshirt from on of the bars in a interview..LOL
