  • ...but my main question (being me and goofy) is this: did your grandmother help The Who pick their album titles? Either way, I'm giving her credit for "Odds And Sods", though in my mind I imagine Pete Townshend phoning your grandma in confusion and distress and her chuckling and saying, "Oh, Peter, we've been through this before. Trust me on this: one word- Quadrophenia". :D

  • @flatlander873 lol...funny thing is...my grandmother was from England...a war bride too. Always enjoy your comments Mike. Thanks & Hugs!

  • I know I get here wayyyy late but I have to take issue with your supposed non-singing. I think it's great, your husband thinks it's great, other people think it's great...it's great, Chris. :)

I love the stories; the world needs to get back to something like a place where a kid in a Tarzan suit was envied, and where a man sold a grip by jumping on it. THAT'S showing belief in your product, and a willingness to prove it. It's inspiring. The whole story is, as they all are...

  • I'm always thinking about taking classes... never do! :O Great story! I loved Tarzan as a kid, from the movies to the cartoons on TV. I never had a cool Tarzan outfit, though!

  • @NaturalTwentyFilms Thanks for watching ! :-)

  • It is so wonderful that you have great stories of your dad. I don't. He didn't share much from his childhood other than he was very poor.

  • @timido66 My Dad's family didn't have much money either...they weren't poor, but watched their pennies as they came thru the Depression.

  • awww love the visual of your parents in the store and dad with the suitcase and moms love gaze :) i also love your dad stories :)

  • @snarkdetriomphe Thanks Liz ! xoxo

  • tin ear probably refers to the tin cones that hard of hearing people used to use?

  • @snarkdetriomphe Oh, yes! You're probably right!

  • ooo you look nice in purple

  • Grip, eh? Learn something new every day...

  • @fehquig Thought for sure you would have known that term Andy! You're always packing and unpacking your "grip". lol

  • U are too a good singer! That was awesome and I Favorited it :)

U should take those classes, It sounds like it might be fun...U would enjoy it. :)

  • Oh you can sing for me anyday girl. Tin ear "inability to distinguish differences in pitch" but heck I ve always just figured you can't hear a good song singing when you hear it myself. Whoa what a cool Grandma you had unbelievable. You can tell your parents were both wonderful with people the result is you. Jumping up and down on suitcase was a Trazan thing lol. Soft hugs what a great story.

  • I'd like to see some more karaoke now and then. Haha I loved the Tazan story. Your parents sound like they were experts at customer service.

  • 50 long ago? LOL! your can't be more than 51 so....shhh don't tell. thank you for sharing the story of your dad ;)

  • @Serramist Oh, is that what it means? lol. Hugs Sierra !

  • My Dad loved Tarzan as well and would do the yell quite often--much to my embarrassment when I was a teenager. Thanks for the memories of your Dad--I miss mine everyday. If you ever want to sing another song maybe you would take a request---"Wonderful Life" by Sam Cooke.

  • @whitsally Thanks for watching! I don't think I know that Sam Cooke song. I'll have to look it up. :-)
