yes Jwriter4 i hav thought deeply about this but the matter of the fact is if your born under terrible circumstances you have opprutunities to get out financial aid is offered to any one who needs it to better yourself for economical gain..... you don't have to do that there are many success stories from blacks who overcame many circumstances an obstacles but those are not shown im a product of the hood....Dont know if you are?

Look ,, i didnt have a mother or a father, was never kept in school, been to multiple foster homes, black mexican and white homes, all were cracked out.lol.

Got 2 felonys, done a 2 year stint in jail. Got out then told the gang i wanted out. Ended up in hospital with a fractured scull and massive concusion, since then ive been doing ok, got my own place , married...NO kids. Works ok, not the best but im gettin by.

Don King and Charles Dutton are two guys with felonies who made it big. There are many others who got out of the system and made their way in life on a much smaller scale.

You are right in a lot of the things that you say and what you are trying to do to help the community is more than commendable. However, I know men who decided before they even caught their first felony that they were going to be millionaires and live the high life. They intentional took the low road to get to that point and prison is just a speed bump toward that goal. My point is that for a lot of guys the felony doesn't matter because never intended to be "do right" men in the first place.

Even with that being said, I dont know we'd have to examine the individual cases to see the aggravating and mitigating factors.. I dont believe that people exclusively chose to be evil and do harm... There is almost all the time other factors that adds to those activities...

With a felony you are not barred from financial aid only if you have a drug felony, and it has to be a certain degree.

This isnt true for all.... I know in NJ you will be completely barred from State Aid, which provides the bulk of the monies needed to go to college.... So diff types of Aid has diff guidelines..

Very good points in this video. It's hard for some people to look at issues from a broad perspective because they have tunnel vision. They only see things from their own narrow vision.
