"violin sound like intro" can only be done with strats do to the fact that the volume knob is near enough of the strings.... metal people underestimate fender strats cuz of the lack of decent humbuckers. But they dont realize that strats is one of the best versatile guitars ever invented.

I think that the Competition was about use of the Rig Itself. I don't think that the Skill of the player playing the instrument was involved in the judging. But if it was, This guy should have seriously taken the cake.

This guy is a great player....but the sweep arppegio thing is getting a little played out. After learning how to sweep decently, I quit practicing it simply because it's over used in music like dragonforce, and has essentially become a type of guitar masturbation to most who do learn to sweep. However, I'll give him points because he only did a couple of times. Overall, I'd give this guy a 7 out of 10. Great player (better than me)...but not very original. But this contest wasn't about skill.
