@inu142007 What crappy book did I read? The Koran. The Hadith. Koran verse 4:34 allows for men to beat their wives. A hadith mentions how Mohammed saw a woman about to perform a female circumcision, and instructed her not to take off too much. This is why the Shaf'i school of Islam allows female circumcision, and other schools don't necessarily disallow it.
