i dont see anything wrong with this video, yes thats Zimbabwe, whether its of the poorest or oldest suburbs after all its zimbabwe! and whats written there is true, the situation was like that.. the video proves it all. if they took the new and wealthiest suburbs no one could have complained! but this is what i call the true zim ive known!
Whats wrong with showing this side of Zimbabwe, a huge percentage of zimbabweans live like this, gotta be proud anyway, weather its Mbare or Borrowdale, none of these places define who Zimbabweans are truelly are.
@gailfarie why is showing every day life wrong? It's just a ride in the pick up while going to the Mbare market with locals. And we are very proud to have shared some time with zimbabeans in that place. Nice people, good time, and great moments of sharing. Just a slice of Zim life... Cheers!
i think if people outside zim did a little more research about the country they wouldnt be quick to jump to conclusions.. as for this video maybe you should have gone and shot a video in the area where i stay and such other places... truthfully we all faced hard times, hussling for basics such as bread and water... but this short vid is fa from depidting wat zim is like.. i have seen the great and terrible sides of my country but I am proud to be from Zimbabwe..
this is the poorest and oldest suburb in zimbabwe, this video is just a source of trying to make the place look really bad, why didnt u mix mbare, hatfield, and highlands/ borrowdale to give an accurate story this is way too 1 sided, its like going to australia and taking pictures of poor aboriginal homes and saying this is australia, or going to america and taking pictures from the bronx and saying this is what america looks like.Shame on you
i do apologise for rushing to judge, I guess I have just become paranoid as people are bent on spreading falsehoods which in-turn block action on the real issues
Because Zimbabwean people are great and they deserve much more that what they received in the last years. So, we must not forget this country that has so much to offer.
@steventean wherever you are from you need to learn more bout the world around you and realise there are many wonderful things to be seen there. It used to be the bread basket of Africa and still has that potential.
The Victoria Falls, Kariba Dam, so many national parks, The Great Zimbabwe (thts some great architecture), the Chinhoyi Caves and so much more... So maybe you should check it out yourself..
@bangophinx hahah dont you get that people who are not 'learned' think surburb is a sabhabha as in Western areas. I am a proud Zimbo and would only go to Mbare for the fruit and veges! Zimbo 4 life!

Hi makalosa,
I am very sorry about your answer, but i think that it is just misunderstanding on the sense of the video.
That's why I have written in the description the context in which that video was made.
Marius and Sylvie...
