OK well he was terrified to fight the only other worthy light heavy alive. Dariusz Michalczewski. He never wanted to give Hopkins a rematch. He never stepped in against Holyfield when he had the chance. And Holyfield ain't very big. Jones became very cautious and safety first after seeing his good friend Gerald McClellan get beat badly by Nigel Benn. Jones never wanted to fight Benn. He's a bum that never learned to box. Losses towards the end of his career. Because when the athleticism went so did he. Had he learned to properly box he might have been more competitive late into his career like Hopkins. Boxers just happen to be athletes. Jones was an athlete who happened to be a boxer. One of the most over rated fighters in history. Had he fought in the middle weight division when Hagler was around he would have been killed in the ring. At light heavy Bob Foster would of killed him and Spinks would have beat him.

Well, until then we will just have to not take the word of a guy that actually sparred with him who had an eye witness account of him actually TRYING to throw as many as possible showing off in the gym...and instead watch the video right here that shows 5 punches. Prove it or stfu. Only someone who has never seen Jones fight over the years would say something so ridiculous. I know this is one second, but that should give you an idea. Unlike you, I have seen every fight of BOTH fighters, so that makes my opinion on BOTH fighters more factual. Loads faster would indicate another three punches per second, show me 8 punches in one second from Pacman's right arm only, oh...I guess all 8 would have to land too because it wouldn't count, right?...you can't argue

It is 5, I know it's too fast to count but it's a fact. Pacman could never throw 5 left hooks, and Gayweather could never do it either. You are more than welcome to go through their fights and post a video of this accomplishment, I have all their fights and they are incapable of doing it. Roy didn't even try to do as many as possible here, Scully who sparred with him for many years said he could do 6 in one second when he actually tried!

Maybe not now, but de La Hoya got 7. Plus Roy is old, so he shouldn't come into the discussion with today's boxers. It's also unfair to bring up 7 because he naturally started at a heavier weight, so he couldn't do as many divisions, he went as high as he could at heavyweight.
