  • wonderful composition, loved the performance

  • Sounds beautiful :) You wouldn't happen to have written down the sheet music for this, have you?

  • @7evendeuce Thanks! I added a download link for the sheet music in the description. Have fun! ;)

  • Very nice... haunting!

  • Beautiful, though somewhat predictable resolutions at times...probably just me.

Beautiful bass in the middle, now that's something we guitarists can't do x-p

Love the gradual crescendo through the song (and then that ppp ending), how do you write that in your score? xD

Anyway, nice to meet another fellow classical composer, keep going =D

  • Nice one as well! :) 5*

  • @JoshuaSethComposer not enough gain on dat piano

  • what piano is this?

  • im readin yer posts on the piano forum.... i'm thinkin of getting that Px-330 when it comes out

  • Yeah, I can certainly tell that you like Rachmaninov. Nice playing!

  • SEVEN STRINGS FUCK YEAHHH

    meshuggah <3

  • The piece is truly gorgeous, Josh. Not what I was expecting, but even better! I can't wait to hear more.

  • i love minor compositions, very dark and emotion evoking.

  • sounded dark! nioce

  • Extremely nice build. The bass notes really carry the piece. Though a couple more chord changes, or another cadence would have made it much more interesting.

  • Thanks very much for your comment! i actually just enabled ratings.

This is really good... It reminds me of a chopin prelude but it's a lot bolder harmonically. I especially like the cadence going from around 2:30 to 3:06, and then there's the unexpected change to E-flat major with G in the bass. Also: cool contemplative ending (reminded me of the end of rachmaninoff prelude Op. 23 no. 4)

  • Very Rachmaninoff-y I like it very much.

  • Very Chopinesque with some unresolved Jazz Chords, and to tell you the truth I was pretty sure from the beginning I wasn't going to like it, but[and this is a big but],but I enjoyed the refreshing repetition, the heart wrentching climax and the late romantic version of early romantic chord progression. My only concern was the Coda[the ending]Maybe there should a chord in which you goto that is not heard thus far:a type ofdeceptive progression that speaks not just in question but grabs your soul

  • I ran out of Characters...As I was saying, These piece has much potential...Maybe you can shorten it and make it a theme and write variations off of it. Don't stop what you are doing. I composed in this way till I had an enlightement or two, you will find your soul as a composer and when you do your life will never be hard to understand. I am waiting for the next piece...don't disappoint me;) -MB

  • Thanks! Actually, this is a Prelude in the truest sense of the word. There is more...

  • I know you from the forum. Great job, I just fell in love with this piece!

  • Very nice, I enjoyed it!

  • I like it its awesome. I feel it.
