  • gao tiger likes a certain postion sorry EVa i had to say it

  • The Gao toyline is the most playable in terms of playability because of its amazing streamline of zords in which you could switch out and switch in.

  • by any chance do you know where i could find him for a good price i try ebay but its either the korean version which replaces some of the metal parts with grey plastic that they dont even bother to paint or its extremely over priced

  • i remember watching this show when i was growing in thailand. a great reminder of my childhood thanks

  • its pronounced (he-yah-koo-jew)

  • nobody gets tired of watching your reviews. i know i dont

  • @oizean it is for umar u retard.

  • @collectiondx can i buy gao king fromm u pls £15 ($24) reply pls.

  • @8890qwerty you moron

  • ninja white had no pink that I am aware of. but to answer your question, it's probably the same reason all the pink mecha are primarily white, with pink accents.

  • So @CollectionDx, out of all the Mechas/Megazords you have reviewed which one was your favorite?

  • had the turbo rescue megazord, and im kicking myself for losing it now.595 dollars on amazon.....*facepalm*

  • I used to have this......

  • @BraigerJ9 Same I had one but thrown it out ever since I had to make room. Back then the American show didn't appeal to me that was during the time I had lost interest in Power Rangers after TimeForce, Believe me I use to own the zords from Space threw Wilde Force.. Dumb decisions we make when were young.

  • super sentai gaoranger is my favorite season!!

  • can u put gaotiger and gaoshark on gourai senpujin like in hurricanger vs gaoranger?

  • @xboxgamerJ16 yes

  • If the horns of the bison is not chrome is it the american version?

  • Do you think the rocket-engine bits on the gaolion could have folded away into the body, by making the front legs fold outwards to reveal a compartment? What about paint on the back of Gaoking's head so that it blended in better with the 'tail' of Gaoeagle?

Finally, are the shoulder ratchets the same size as those in other series, i.e. Shinkenger?

  • Oh, with the Gaotiger and variants, would it have been possible to add clips to what becomes the shoulders so that they stayed together? Or are the clearances too tight?

  • I have two things to say to you EVA_Unit_4A.

    1. Choujuu Sentai Liveman came out in 1988 (Late 80's)

    2. JuuOhKen is Japanese for Beast King Sword.

  • where can i get all 5 toys they bring me back so many memories?

  • @gatitorebelde

Sorry, I can't help you; I got these second-hand in an under-the-table arrangement.

  • why does it disturbes me thath this guy is around 40 years, and uses technical terms...

  • @freezeandfry

29, actually. Well, 28 when I filmed this.

IDK, why does it disturb you? ;P

  • I WISH I HAD ALL OF YOUR MEGAZORDS I WOULD GO CRAZY IF I DIDNT COLLECT AS MUCH AS YOU DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Evaunit4A hahahaha

  • @nightworldfan22

    What?

  • He needs to snap in the legs

  • @infinitidrago123

Wow, WTF is wrong with you?

  • gao lion : don t sit in my mane u eagle

    gao eagle : okay

gao lion : now shoo shoo get away and get lost

  • @EVAUnit4A u gonna ever get the Gao God?

  • hey that word is pronounced with silent k, its (hi) (ak) ( i, as in pin) ( joo)

  • @CollectionDX What a Chogokin?

  • @Franco16971

As I understand it, the term chogokin ("super-metal") comes from one of the Go Nagai anime series from the late 1960s-to-early 1970s to describe the armor material that the super robots he designed (Mazinger, Getter Robo, etc.) were made of.

Eventually it came to stand for any Bandai toy that contained high amounts of die-cast metal (such as the DX Gao King).

PM CollectionDX's channel, because most of the others who work in there know it better than I do.

  • I meant love.

  • OK,OK,you lose the metal so much, but is there anything you dislike about it?

  • is your gao king for sale?

  • @jmccualsky

WHAT DID IT SAY IN THE CREDITS???

  • dude are u okay your hands were shake really badly

  • @MsGgo

My hands always shake. It's genetic, and I've had it all my life.

  • Hey if gokai oh in gokaiger is called gokai king in the subs. Then by the japanese naming gao king should be called gao oh. Since the suffix oh in japan means king right?

  • Question, is there a way to fix the loose leg problem on the Tiger Zord? Or is it just pretty much stuck like that once it happens?

  • @Godzillawolf1

They're metal shafts placed inside of plastic holes. (TWSS?) Anyways, I haven't researched fixing them, but considering they're doing this years after they came out, I'm guessing once it happens it's always loose. Others may have found an answer though.

  • Do you like or dislike that we did not see certain mecha here in the US?

Examples:Cephalazord ,Elephant Zord ,Mammothzord ,Life Force Megazord ,Centaurus Wolf Megazord,Galaxy Megazord with Lights Of Orion?

  • Which is better

    Gaoranger or Wild Force?

  • actually you peg the shark and gao tiger on to lion like they are arms already for the alternate gao king mode

  • it's Yakk-a-Juu.

  • you are so right about all that stuff because it is coo oh yeah thanks for telling me about that voltron thing

  • Hmm how about the white shogun zord?

  • @lunchat7pm

    What about it?

  • @EVAUnit4A I'm pretty sure that one doesn't have pink on it.

  • @lunchat7pm

Hmm, I don't have the Muteki Shogun [HOLY GRAIL], but you may be correct about it not having ANY pink on it.

  • The carrier form was actually used originally by the Zyuranger and Dairanger mechas. Back when Ultrazords were separate units instead of titanic brick monsters. I'm not sure how the mecha are named and i won't lump them in with the Megazords.

  • @aliastheabnormal

    LoL

Yep. And don't forget about the only-seen-once Gougou Trailer!

  • @EVAUnit4A Does Go Go trailer count? I mean Dai Mugen and Titanus were independent mecha. Go Go Trailer is more of an alt form of Dai Bouken i think, kinda like Time Jet Gamma.

  • @aliastheabnormal

    Oh, I thought you were talking about third modes for the robos. I'm confused then! ^^;

  • @EVAUnit4A I'm confused as well. GoGo trailer and TJG are alt modes. Megazord has a tank mode that is in between the robo and individual forms, same with the unseen tank mode for Gaoking. Dai Mugen and Titanus as well as King Pyramider are large independent mecha, that basically serve as big ass guns. G-12 and Ha-oh are all the individual mecha put togheter its just that Disney got lazy and called G-12 an Ultrazord instead of making a new name.

  • @aliastheabnormal

Technically, Engine-Oh G12 IS an Ultra-combo, so it fits to call it an Ultrazord.

I don't understand- why are you bringing up ultra combos and third modes? I didn't talk about any Ultras in this video! >.>

  • @EVAUnit4A This is getting far too confusing, maybe we should just stop this conversation now...

  • @aliastheabnormal

Well, you started the conversation... If I knew what you were asking about, I could better answer! >.>

  • @EVAUnit4A I can't remember anymore, sorry.

  • @aliastheabnormal Actually a lot of series had carrier types of mecha. After JAKQ, and before Jetman, they all had a mecha that housed their individual machines. TTurboranger and Fiveman were the first to make their mechas combine with them.

  • This is very thorough/ Awesome.

  • @shadowseraph78

    Thank you. ^^

  • You said that all the white female rangers in Super Sentai have pink on it right? What about the white kark in Kakuranger?

  • @lunchat7pm

The God Kark had a pink tail and neck. ;)

  • 23:06

    big hug

  • hey, wats up EVA_UNIT_4A,u may remember me,then again,u may not,im the one that posted that one comment for u and ur friends at CollectionDX to look at my channel, anyways,im a pretty big fan of super sentai,do u think it wuld be possible for someone at CollectionDX to let me have one of their super sentai figures, thanks, see ya

  • @kolbymysterio619

I don't know what other CDXers would do, but I'm not selling anything right now. Maybe you should ask there.

  • I watch most of your reviews

  • wow you do awesome reviews.

  • @PRJFfan

    Thank you! ^_^

  • Do u still have the wildforce megazord if so may i have it?

  • @ajconsonery

    Yes I do, and no I won't.

  • what is the difference between a deluxe and not deluxe megazord?

  • @imawesometm

DX means "Deluxe". The difference is in Japan they spell it and say "DX", but for Power Rangers, it's simply Deluxe.

I choose to follow this convention intentionally even though I could easily say "deluxe" when I'm talking about the Japanese versions of the toys.

  • where can i get this? cheap?

  • @darkhero101010

No idea. I got this second-hand from a guy online.

  • @EVAUnit4A

what is the difference between a deluxe and not deluxe megazord?

  • i used to have them, r they valuable because i sortof regret getting rid of it

  • @4Joga4

    People like them enough.

  • were you got the power aniamls from

  • @MrDarkrai25

    I got 'em second-hand.

  • where did you get this

  • @13alunamoon

I got it second-hand, with no box or instructions.

  • How much were they? Ang great review makes me wanna buy!

  • @GuitarPlayer8X

Well, I paid $50 for mine, but that was a private sale, not from a store. Re-watch the credits for the MSRP.

  • I don't think "wheres waldo" is In super sentai

  • @Tyrannitar123

    O_o

    Seriously...?

  • do you know what that little hole is for on gaosharks head is?

  • @DeluxeRobots

It's so that the Sword part of Gao Elephant can clip onto it.

  • @EVAUnit4A I have gao elephant I don't see a little tab for the hole in gao sharks head

  • @DeluxeRobots

    Oh, wait, you're right. I goofed up holes that are used. >.<;

Uhh... so I guess I don't know what that was for after all. Gao Hammerhead and Gao Jaguar don't have it because their heads are different. Perhaps it was part of manufacturing or another planned PA weapon upgrade that didn't happen?

  • I have the Wild Force megazord, and you actually can form the tank rather easily.

  • Hey, I finally got my Wild Force Megazord. And I think I found out why your Gao Tiger has such loose hips. I'm assuming since both your GaoKing and Wild Force Megazord were secondhand, nether had instructions, mine came with them. Well apparently, you're supposed to push the Tiger's shoulders in when they're upfolded instead of having them out, the ability to pull them out is solely for transformation.

    Hope this helps!

  • @Godzillawolf1

O rly? I'll have to try that. Thanks! ^_^

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX You're welcome, apparently they're only meant to move at the shoulder during transformation. Limits posing a bit, but at least gives it a more solid base.

Also, question, are the elbows on your red lion loose, mine are. I got mine second hand but I thought it might've had something to do with the lower leg being metal and the upper leg plastic.

  • @Godzillawolf1

No, they're not loose. That's probably age talking on yours.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Yeah, probably. But overall, it's actually in good shape, except the Yellow Eagle, whose head won't stay on no matter what I do while seperate, but it can stay on in Megazord mode. They reason I'm willing to put up with it is because I was able to get a complete one for a reasonible price, even had the display stand and instructions.

  • Hey dude, question. I've heard it said the GaoKing toy was made compatible with the Time Shadow from Timeranger, which was intended for a crossover which never happened due to it being an annversy series and them deciding to do vs. Super Sentai instead. Is that true?

  • @Godzillawolf1

IDK about the crossover-part, but the two DX toylines are not compatible with each other; the shoulder joints on the PAs are too big for the TimeRobo's shoulder socket.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Ah, I see. Would've been cool though.

Also, update on Goukaiger, apparently, it's going to be the Sentai Decade, the Goukaiger can transform into previous sets of Sentai Rangers and their Mecha is able to transform, or at least mimic, previous Mecha, a Shinken-Oh Mode having been confirmed. But it's default mode is still pirate based, the GouRed having a pirate ship.

  • @Godzillawolf1

I knew about the KRDecade-thing (which failed with DCD, IMO BTW), so I'm dreading that Super Sentai won't be able to get back on sturdy legs after the FAIL of Goseiger.

How do you know these other "confirmations", though- a robo that mimics? Impossible for a toy, and even more expensive.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX I don't know, I actually liked Decade, just me. As for the mimics, I'm aware of that fact, but with any luck, it'll lead to rereleases of older Mecha that are now WAY too expensive on ebay. So even if the series itself fails, we might get some nice toys out of the deal. Who knows, maybe that taking care of merchindice will let them focus more on the actual show itself, since they don't have to make a lot of mecha designs to market, they can focus on making the regular one good.

  • @Godzillawolf1

That would be epic and a dream come true (considering they've never reissued except for PR), but most of those toy molds are literally decades old, and might not be up to the challenge...

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX True, so they'd probably need reissues instead of rereleases for many, though Shinkenger and Goseiger are easy to do, and probably a few toys back would be ok. Still, the reissues for Mighty Morphing weren't that bad, and had more accurate stickers, and Japan normally does better work than America. If nothing else, it'd give them a chance to fix some mistakes.

On the other hand, I do wonder what Saban would do with this series, due to none to Zyuranger having been adapted.

  • @Godzillawolf1

No you don't understand- they would need to make completely new molds for some of those older designs. Not aged from storage, but from original use.

And the MMPR designs we got in 2010 were not based on the ZyuRanger molds; they were completely new toys.

Consider also that reissues might be better for a decade-anniversary (like 2016) rather than a half-decade one (2011).

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Yeah, point taken. Still, would be pretty cool if we even got some reissues of the more harder to get Mecha. At the very least I sespect some of the more rescent series the molds are still useible for may get rereleases. Considering the merchindice nature of the series, I don't see why they wouldn't do at least that.

The other option is it merely copies the powers of previous mecha in some fashion, which could be better represented in toy form.

  • @Godzillawolf1

"it merely copies the powers of previous mecha in some fashion, which could be better represented in toy form."

    Oh, BORING-! -_-;

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Exactly why I hope they go with the latter possibilty over this one.

Another possiblity is they make it backwards compatible with previous season's mecha. Many of the series from Gaoranger to at least Magiranger can exchange limbs with one another anyway, and the ones that can't could be solved with a simple adaptor of some sort (they've done adaptors before with Gao Muscle Striker). If this is going to be another Limb Swapping season, I'd rather see something like that.

  • @CollectionDX yea the ultimate tank it really can be formed just look at the video response i left for you

  • one because do you have it and review

  • @1big2man3

Ya know, I DID do other GaoRanger reviews on YouTube. They may answer your question...

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • what about gao ape the red one of gao gorrilla

  • @1big2man3

    What about it? =S

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • maybe the white Gao tiger is a female. Pink laser lights would look nice coming off a white surface

  • 1) where is waldo btw lol

    2)23:00 he will hug you

  • @shyshy503

    ^^

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • holy crap! GaoKing is ripping off GaoGaiGar! with the mane extensions thing! XD

only joking. They probably had different inspirations...

  • wow some one got the joke im surprised

  • gao bison is gao mini van

  • @thebankaiking

    LoL

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX that's because the alternate mode is a freaking wild force tank damn it's a freaking carrier for the wild zords

  • You say hyakujkuu like hack-a-jew got it

  • man i wish i bought this a long time ago.

  • @dlwilliam

That was my reaction too years after it came out. =)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX dude ur intro scared the shit out of me when I was watching it at midnight xD

  • @LeeroyTiga

    LoL

Someone had the volume turned up too high, ehh...? ;D

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • There was suposed to be a gao camel!

  • @MEGAMULTIMADMAN22

    Affirmative.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • vas ha morir marica

  • do a different combo, like spear shield mode

  • @sandtalon56

I was going to make a last video featuring all those extra combos (Spear & Shield, Another Arm, Striker Spear, etc.), but I just haven't gotten to it. The reason why is I am not sure how to cover them and keep it interesting. While I already did that review with text and pictures on CDX, I'm not sure how to do it for video.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • 9:18 I will eat you

  • @MrJames816

    =?

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX gao bison looks mad

  • @MrJames816

    Oh.

    =\

    Okay.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Man I want that toy. Anybody know where I could get one of those at a good price? I want the Japanesse version it's cooler than the American version.

  • The Korea version is basically a mix between BA and BJ.

  • @Batabatbata haha you said bj

  • @hazco12

    =|

    "Bandai of Japan"... douche.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX lol it was a joke im not a idiot. peace

  • I always thought it was a little odd, in the Power Rangers Wild Zord sets between KongaZord and MegaZord, the Eagle actually had some minor differenaces, or at least mine did. Konga's Eagle had smaller eyes, a differnt expression on the Meagzord face, and the green thingy was slightly larger.

  • Awesome!!!!!!!

    really really like it!

    my childhood...

  • I want to see you face!

I'm creating a playlist of this series (Gaoranger).

What sentai ranger series are you going to review next?

  • That's one mighty awesome crotch.

  • @retrocute

    Rather horny-lookin' bot, I'd say.

    HEY-OHH!

    XD

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • You can break it down like this "Ha Ku Jyu" that is how they pronounce it in the Japanese version.

  • For me, and I do mean for me...Gaoranger mechas are the BEST mechas that super sentai ever came out with. 2nd place goes to those in the gekiranger series. =D

  • @Clement899

    ...animal freak. =)

I will NOT put the Geki Beasts on the same pedestal as Power Animals; that's heretical IMO.

PAs were awesome in articulation, details, and variety, while Geki Beasts were blocky and had a "meh" gimmick just-shy of limb-swapping (i.e. armor swapping).

Besides, Super Sentai mecha are not meant to be agile like PAs. Quite the opposite, in fact- blocky and invincible; something that a lot of fans have missing since the continued use of limb-swapping

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX

LOL I din see that coming~

Yeah I admit that Gekibeasts have a "meh" gimmicks.

Compare to the others the CGI done in both Gaorangers and Gekirangers is wayyy better than the others.

Also, I hate the fact that, nowadays they release a lot of individual mechas and combine them into a chunk of big abomination. Let's say for example, Ultimate Daibouken, Engine-Oh G12? and Samurai Ha-Oh. I do not mean that they are not awesome. Its jz tat...this makes the robots move even clumsier.

  • @Clement899

    > Ultimate Daibouken, Engine-Oh G12, and Samurai Ha-Oh

Oh, you mean Cluster-Fk Megazords? Dude, most fans don't like those. They take a lot of money AND shelf space, and are generally too ugly to outweigh their combined gimmicks & not a great top to each mecha's line.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Yeah yeah! I fking hate those. They din put in much efforts on the combination. They're just like "oh! theres a space here, let's put a zord here then...".

I can see this syndrome coming on the Goseiger series. ZzzzzZzz

  • @Clement899

    > I can see this syndrome coming on the Goseiger series.

Yeah. Bandai & PLEX really need to get their heads out of their asses for a bit and concentrate on making SOLID designs for a while. Power Animals were awesome AND had limb-swapping; everything afterwords is bleh.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @Clement899

    > oh! theres a space here, let's put a zord here then...

Well... technically, that's not the definition of a Cluster-Fk Megazord. I mean, Kyuukyoku Daizyujin and Revolver Tenrai-Senpuujin were awesome ultra combos. Cluster-Fk Megazord refers more to a mass of many mecha-components & how they're arranged, rather than just by size alone. The three examples you gave definitely fit that bill.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • This is a very good review! I have never watched Power Rangers / Super Sentai (Never watched PR because it's not close enough to the original, SS i just never had time t watch) And i still understand it because of your information.

Relating to the toys, these appear to have rather good articulation. Good job! :D

  • @TheKatamariDamacy

Why, thank you! That means a lot to me.

Though most of other reviewers on CDX usually don't allow for newcomers when they post, I try to keep that door open at all times as well as appealing to fans at the same time. I get chastised for doing it sometimes, but I do it for people like you who come off the street.

Were I a non-fan, I would look for such reviews.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX You are a very good toy reviewer! thank you for being nice and responding to my comment! I shall start watching SS later today, because it looks very good. :D

  • @TheKatamariDamacy

Well, as of today, there are 34 different series-! Which one are you gonna start with?

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX I dunno yet, hahaha... o3o!

I'll start with Hyakujuu Sentai GaoRanger because you introduced it to me, and it honestly sounds very very interesting. :D

  • @TheKatamariDamacy

Consider starting with "Gosei Sentai DaiRanger" (1992).

However, unlike most franchises, you don't have to watch them in order, as each of the Super Sentai Series are completely stand-alone and have their own continuity.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Dairanger came out in 1993.

  • @Peniche5

    Oops, you're right. Wrong keystroke.

    ^_^;

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX wut wrong keystroke mean?

  • @freshshushi

Umm... I pressed (i.e. stroked) the wrong key.

    >.>

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX sentai team ups?

  • @GameAddict2013

Team-ups are always out-of-continuity specials, with no impact on the series itself.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Doesn't look much different than the US version
