  • When i go for my heelside edge i cant get very far away from the wake.. With my toeside i can get very far? Not sure wat im doing wrong

  • What exercises are good for preparing my body for wakeboarding?

And what is the speed that boat has to have?

Also please tell me there are 3 positions between feet. What position should I use for beginners?

And what angle is the correct for beginner?

Thanks a lot if you reply

    Best regards

  • @marfasan18 We have a great Wakeboard Fitness section on our website forums that has tons of info on how to prepare. P90x is a popular program. We use different boat speeds & rope lengths to teach different tricks, so its hard for me to give you a specific number. A good general speed for wake jumps is about 20 mph w/ a rope length of about 65 ft.. One hole from the outside most inserts on both feet is a good starting stance width. 9 to 12 degree ducked stanced is a good starting stance angle.

  • Helpful video but... you're plowing on your toe side edge. Is this because you're leaning too far back?

  • @DrTTube Typically this means the board isn't twisted enough into the Toeside edging position. Meaning the nose of the board should point more out away from the wakes and your lower body should twist more so the board is more perpendicular to the boat's path while you move out. There is another different instructional video called "Cleaning Up Toeside Pop" that helps to cure that "not twisting enough" problem on Toeside on our website. It would probably help you quite a bit.

  • Thanks, it help my beginner riding skills!

  • After watching this vid, i can totally tell that my toeside edge is more like th bad examples lol! Time to drill drill drill

  • Just the sort of thing I was looking for, I'm new to all this and I didnt have a clue what I was doing whilst trying to cable ski but I'll try this next time. I know positioning can make all the difference through experimenting. Would like to see a heelside one too.

  • Thx alot I always hav trouble on toe side but Now I can try this

  • i've always had trouble toeside, i am totally trying this next time i go out. Thanks!

  • this is really hard to do on my boat cuz i dont have a proper ski boat but ill try it

  • @kickers4ever this practice does not depend on the boat. It depends on the riders flexibility

  • wow thanks man that helped alot!
