@CelvianoPianoCASIO i have all the 5 songs used and i want to make more so i sent one to the computer via midi.. can i erase that one on the keyboard make another one on its area? what will happen if i get the song in the pc back to the keyboard?
I have a 7500 and I primarily use the midi function through the sd card. I have approx. 40 songs on the card, but to get to the 40th song, it loads each song instead of just scrolling through. Do you know how to scroll through, without it stopping at each song? This process takes entirely toooooo long and it's sooo frustrating. Can you help?
I have some questions, Yamaha keyboards can be better, but they can be a little more expensive (I don't tell about Tyros 4, it's TOO MUCH EXPENSIVE), so, What range of Yamaha keyboards I can compare the Casio WK-7500/CTK-7000? Is it unreasonable to compare it with a Yamaha PSR-S910 or compare with the Yamaha PSR-S550 (or the latest Yamaha PSR-S650)? On the other hand, is it affordable? That is, if they are cheaper than the PSR-S910 or more expensive or cheaper than the PSR-S550?
This keyboard has good some sounds and its organ controllers are great. I didn't see MIDI ports, it's for me a bad point although this keyboard supports GM Level 1.
bravo, yamaha's tube vids sound like crap; & i figure if you don't know how to make a video sound great, well, come on, my camcorder & Adobe Premiere Elements 9 with REVERB can make my old yamaha speakers sound great with karaoke, so this is impressive. good job
how do you get to the octave c-1, as there is some drums listed in the drum assignment list on that octave, but the octave shift only tales me to c-0, thanks in advance
I am having a really hard time deciding whether I should buy the Casio CTK-6000 keyboard or the Yamaha PSR E423. If anyone has any reason why I should or shouldn't buy either one, I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance!
@the 6500 model. is it only patches that are already sequenced, or do i have the option to use the instruments individually and make my own melodies and record what i play?
Hi, in this Keyboard, is there a feature where you can divide the key set into two tone, example the key set is let say the tone is "saxophone" or probably accompaniment and the rest of the keys are another tone like "accordion" for example, its like you have 2 keyboard in just one keyboard? :)
@videos22333 Got both WK 500 and PSR E423, WK sounds more realistic and has nicer keys. Yamaha have about dozen effects extra and they sound a little nicer, but Casio rocks it out with other characteristics. I recommend you this one.
Can someone please explain to me the difference between the CTK-7000, WK-6500, and WK-7500? The WK-7500 is out of my price range, the CTK-7000 is bordeline price range for me, but I don't know what separates the CTK-7000 and WK-7500. If it's something exclusive to the WK class, I'll just get the WK-6500 unless something significant is in the 76 key CTK.
@ablahblah54 I'm pretty sure the 6500 doesn't have drawbars/sliders. It might not have the modulation button either. Those are the only differences I know of.
if i am recording a song to the keyboard and i wanna hear it playback what do i do? i mean i know how to make it play once but i want it to repeat what i did repeatedly! and whithout that 4 count and the DING sound before it starts i really cant figure out how to do this
Can hear the onboard sounds, a connected mic, a connected external instrument, and a connected music player all through the onboard speakers at the same time? And can you also route all of these sound sources to the Line Out jacks? If you can hear all of this stuff through a PA and also through the onboard speakers for monitoring, then that is VERY useful.
So I read that you can only record 5 songs on the ctk 7000. But can't you negate that limitation simply by using usb memory? or is there some reason that it wouldn't save your songs to a flash drive or sd card?
Bought one, a Real Class product, Iike the feel of the keys, in fact I love everthing about it, Great sounds, pianos, etc. Top marks to Casio, most impressive!!
I was thinking about an entry level, Korg workstation/arranger K/B. However the casio WK7500 also interested me. I was told that the Casio, is Now every bit as good as the Korg model, by a dealer online. The Korg is around a £100 or so more expensive.
Casio should also use a new sound engine or a engine that they used in the mz-2000 or the higher end digital grand pianos...now that would be a huge improvement
I have compared the wk3800 and wk7500 side be side and to be honest id rather take the wk3800 for live. the pianos sound thinner to me on the 7500, and as well some of the organs. Some sounds such as the reso clavs and the touch wah guitars i also miss, as well as layering 4 parts. Instead of the minimal 3 on the 7500. I will say i like the electric pianos better, but for me i hate everything else. I don't use transpose much, but the transpose function on the 7500 is also worst .
I use to have casio, the bad thing about casio is only playing for while you become bored and so irritated by its sound that you feel like throwing it into pieces, no matter what series it belongs to. I think more wave rom and better samples are what casio need.
Why are they making keyboards without midi ports. I would get a midi controller if I wanted to use it with my computer. Midi ports are way more versatile for hooking up other equipment. Makes no sense
First: do the keys have simulated action of any kind? ( I don't want the simulated action because it makes it impossible to play percussive instruments)
Second: I had an old keyboard that had MIDI IN and OUT ports. I notice that a lot of the newer keyboards (including this one) are opting out of these in favor of a simple USB. Is there a reason for this and is the response/communication between the devices any different? I just hope it's not slower.
@mikefrontier no, these are non-weighted keys without any action, even though they a have a piano-style look. Easy to play synth sounds or percussion. As for the USB Midi terminal, it is the industry standard today, same functionality as the old 5-pin connection, with one exception: you cannot connect easily to other midi keyboards or devices, it always requires a computer.
@CelvianoPianoCASIO thank you for the reply.but i could i use the sounds in the casio and make tracks on protools with them?,because i record midi with protools with a axiom keyboard(which has no tones in it).so if i can use the sounds on this with protools i'll buy it.
@freewee21 it does not work like a kind of Plug-in, only audio signal via line-outs and Midi via USB.You can control the sounds with your axiom masterkeyboard via Midi and record audio.
@CelvianoPianoCASIO so does that mean the sounds installed on the keyboard aren't useful with Protools?and one more question can i play the "WK-6500"without hooking it up like on a keyboard stand alone and use it or what?
I downloaded the manual so I know that these instruments have many many possibilities. Casio should make demo and educational videos about tones, styles, arpeggiator, sequencer, DSP, etc. - like Yamaha does. I think you could have more customers.

@coatipanama The main sounds are coming from the CASIO Keyboard, only an atmospheric pad sound in the refrain part (which you cannot exactly hear) is coming from another source. The composer used the predecessor model CASIO WK-500 because the final version of the new model was not on hand at the time when we made the video.
Please come back and check the new High-Grade-Sound, which is even more impressive, when we launch the workshop videos very soon. Thankx!

@kingofkeyboards I'm very interested in the WK-7500 or CTK-7000. The last time Casio did anything like that was years ago with the MZ-2000. I'm curious to see and hear how much of that has been carried over into the new models. I'm still on the fence though as to whether the newer sound chips are better than the ZPI used on the MZ-2000.
When are these units hitting the USA? Any idea on the prices? The video is entertaining.., but IMO falls way short of showing the consumers what these new models are capable of. Any upcoming videos to showcase sounds and styles?

Why this video Titled as it was showing mostly CTK-6000, in reality, shows mostly CTK-7000 ?
Initially, I thought that CTK-6000 has all that faders and other fancy staff.
Also, why you lie about polyphony? CTK-6000 is 24 voice polyphony actually, and when you use layered sounds, polyphony drops to 12 voices !
