Ive played both FC2 and Crysis, I loved them both, but Crysis was a bitch when it came to the point, keep get lost on it, but FC2 was epic, Gotta say FC2 is alot better#

*Sight* I REALLY wanted Far Cry 2 to be good. But it was boring and repetitive. I got even more dissapointed when I learned last week that UbiSoft will be making the next Far Cry game and it will still be set in Africa... :'(

But, I suppose if they could just get the gameplay right (seems almost impossible for UbiSoft to do) Africa wouldn't be a bad setting.

Far Cry 2 is more realistic than crysis anyways. In crysis you walk through plants, Far Cry 2 on PS3, you push them down and when you walk over they go back up, unless you were driving over them, then they stay flat

Have you not seen crysis' plants yet? They do that too and anyway in mods they most likely won't do anything because they are custom plants that might not be ABLE to do that.

in crysis you shoot down trees, whcih is nearly impossible to do with an assaultrifle. Tires freaking EXPLODE in crysis. The buildings, well thats a simple trick Half Life 2 used as well, Just put loose objects together to resemble a building

Can I ask you something? When you shoot with a sniper rifle from a big distance? do they know from where you are shooting? Becuase in the most games the enemy directly knows where you are.

in crysis? depends on how far away... if at the same distance in the vid, then enemy won't know ur location, but they'll know ur general location and call in reinforcements, helicopters etc.

To those arguing about which editor is better. Crysis is alot better. You can make intrusions and caves.. Farcry 2, you can't. You have alot more environment skins for mountains and land in Crysis. There are also hundreds more objects to choose from. Farcry 2 has a very good variety of objects. But crysis is better in almost every other way.

i think sandbox 2 editor is better in some apsects, but tbh i would rather use farcry 2's editor. more user friendly, and can still make amazing maps, also not as buggy as sandbox 2

That makes no sense, this map is using the SAME engine as Crysis. Maybe you don't understand it, but that means these are the SAME graphics as Crysis.

no, because this map is user-made. sure, it uses CRYengine 3, but it looks bad compared to far cry 2. the resources that come with CRYeditor are more suited for jungle environments, not savannah environments anyway. It really doesnt matter though.
