Superman can be beat by Shazam because Superman is weak against magic and Thor can beat Shazam very easy so the conclusion is that Superman can not beat Thor in any moment. Because magic really hurt superman to death.

Look folks lets just face facts, superman was designed to be over powered, is over powered and really isn't going to be beaten by anyone short of a plot device. Is why i hate superman he has no real weaknesses in a straight up fight he has every superpower from almost every hero known. Also the lighting Thor uses is not the typical lighting from a thunder storm it is mystical in power which makes it a weakness for superman. There is no logical reason how an amped up alien could beat a God.

Black Adam has hurt and defeated Superman before and Black Adam is a Thor lite in my opinion. Thor hits Superman with the God Blast, Anti-force, or causes an infinite vortex with the Mjolnir and this fights over.

Thor can see into the past, present, and future and manipulated to his will and even stop it if he chooses thus taking away superman speed since he can freeze him in time to kill him like he did Desak. Depending on what Supes you're talking about, not entirely true. Nearly every type of Superman but Superboy Prime, is weak to magic. Thor has an endless array of magic, his hammer it self is enchanted. If Regular Superman gets hit by that hammer, it would crush him. SBP at least has a chance but again... He still has a lot of weaknesses, why he even got beat in the first place cause his weaknesses were exploited and taken advantage of
@scaibs Actually Superman has faced villians with magic before he faced Captain Marvel and has took Magic similar to magic that what Thor has put out. He's faced many wizards before and has beaten them all.
@Spiderman7670 and Supes is roughly even with with captain marvel and black adam, marvel lost to Thor... when they did fight in the comics JLA/ Avengers crossover supes won the first round before Cap called a halt to it, and later against the big bad you see supes weilding Mjolnir and caps shield it s just a matter of perspective. And as a side note Thor has a belt which can double his strength (see secret wars 2 battle with Kurse) for short periods :D

@Spiderman7670 Odin does have Odin sleep to recharge his powers but almost all vastly powerful beings have to do this. Thor never had to go into Odinsleep until he gained the Odinforce thats because of the massive increase in his power and the demand it caused to sustain. Superman in a way has to do the same thing in a way by absorbing solar energy, if Superman has no sun he has no powers.
This is cute but Supermans using his True Strength would put him in a total different fight catagory. He would be between The Elders of The Universe and The Comic Entities. A New Tier would have to be created if he used his powers while fully charged.

Thor killed every single Marvel character IN A CANON STORY! Hulk, fantastic four, iron-man, capt america... all of them. Granted he lost an arm in the process, but his victory pretty much says it all. I dunno if Superman could beat the Hulk, let alone every other marvel character.

In Mortal Kombat vs Dc Universe, Raiden was at least as strong or stronger than Superman. Both Thor and RAiden are gods of thunder. So thor should be as strong as Raiden without the the hammer. So with the hammer, Thor should beat superman

Guys, the ONLY reason why Superman won against Hulk and Thor in those cross overs is because of FAN VOTES. Also the lighting Thor uses is not the typical lighting from a thunder storm it is mystical in power which makes it a weakness for superman. There is no logical reason how an amped up alien could beat a God.

@Spiderman7670 Lesser beings then Thor have hurt superman plus his invulnerability doesn't work with magic Phantom Stranger had to temporarily give Superman magical resistance so he could beat Atlas and Thor is highly magical and his primary weapon the Mjolnir is magically enchanted. Black Adam has hurt and defeated Superman before and Black Adam is a Thor lite in my opinion. Thor hits Superman with the God Blast, Anti-force, or causes an infinite vortex with the Mjolnir and this fights over.

Thor can see into the past, present, and future and manipulated to his will and even stop it if he chooses thus taking away superman speed since he can freeze him in time to kill him like he did Desak. Also Superman has never faced a matter manipulator of Thor caliber just low level ones.

Depending on what Supes you're talking about, not entirely true. Nearly every type of Superman but Superboy Prime, is weak to magic. Thor has an endless array of magic, his hammer it self is enchanted. If Regular Superman gets hit by that hammer, it would crush him. SBP at least has a chance but again... He still has a lot of weaknesses, why he even got beat in the first place cause his weaknesses were exploited and taken advantage of

@Spiderman7670 and Supes is roughly even with with captain marvel and black adam, marvel lost to Thor... when they did fight in the comics JLA/ Avengers crossover supes won the first round before Cap called a halt to it, and later against the big bad you see supes weilding Mjolnir and caps shield it s just a matter of perspective. And as a side note Thor has a belt which can double his strength (see secret wars 2 battle with Kurse) for short periods :D

Thor never had to go into Odinsleep until he gained the Odinforce thats because of the massive increase in his power and the demand it caused to sustain. Superman in a way has to do the same thing in a way by absorbing solar energy, if Superman has no sun he has no powers.

Thor killed every single Marvel character IN A CANON STORY! Hulk, fantastic four, iron-man, capt america... all of them. Granted he lost an arm in the process, but his victory pretty much says it all. I dunno if Superman could beat the Hulk, let alone every other marvel character.
Plus Superman is weak to magic, which Thor has at his disposal.
Sadly, Mugen Superman is ridiculously good, while Thor is nice and balanced.

In Mortal Kombat vs Dc Universe, Raiden was at least as strong or stronger than Superman. Both Thor and RAiden are gods of thunder. So thor should be as strong as Raiden without the the hammer. So with the hammer, Thor should beat superman

Guys, the ONLY reason why Superman won against Hulk and Thor in those cross overs is because of FAN VOTES. In a real fight between Superman vs. Thor, Thor would win hands down with the Odin force, and would most likely win even without it. They are physically equal in terms of Strength and Durability. And the only thing that tips the fight in Thor favor is magic. one of superman's weaknesses is magic. Some may argue Supe's speed is a factor, well not really. Thor taken down silver surfer. SS>>SM

To make more sense, Thor is a Top TierMarvel character, but has YET to be cast in ore than a SUPPORTING ROLE in ANY Marvel video game. Supes has more than 20 games to his name, INCLUDING bieng a main character in ALL DC fighting games, inclusive of Mortal Komba vs DC. My Point: In terms of Video Game fighting experience, Supes also has the Edge. Love him or hate him, th Original Hero owns it here. They could loose Lois Lane at the end, though....

I could really give a shit whos more popular. When it comes down to it powers compared Thor kills Supes, DC isnt gonna have theyre flagship hero defeated by the 4th popular Marvel hero. When it comes down to it Theyre not gonna have Supes loose to any Marvel hero cause that would cause to much controversy. In an ACTUAL fight full powered no limit fight one on one Thor would destroy supes. Intercompany crossovers mean nothing to me because at the end of the day both companys ye and ne who wins

it's not that i hate superman it's just that supes power is no for match for magic and Thor has unlimited power through his hammer which is also virtually indestructible plus he has complete control over thunder and lightning around the world so no matter how fast supe moves Thor can just simply conjure up about a hundred streams of magical fork lightning and have it hit supe no matter where he moves to next, this is just 1 fight were Supermans Kryptonian abilities won't do him any good.

Do some of you superman nuthuggers (not the true superman fans though. Big difference) realize that the ONLY reason superman won against thor in that crossover was because the writer wanted him to. Other than that, I can say that just like a lot of marvel vs dc victories, that win was bullshit.

Actually, it makes sense for Supes to beat Thor. Darkseid = Thanos. Thanos beats Thor. Supes beats Darkseid... of late anyhow. Once upon a time Darkseid crushed Supes like a bug, nowadays Supes owns DS.
Anyhow, historically, Thor has really variable speed, but AFAIK, he can't even hit Spidey, and Supes is a lot faster than Spidey... when Supes remembers he has super speed anyhow.

Dude, i'm well aware that the writers are more powerful than the characters. Also I'm pretty sure that it was regular thor that supposedly couldn't hit spiderman. Also it was regular thor that thanos defeated. Thirdly, thanos does not equal darkseid. Its true that he used to rapestomp superman. But if we're talking about current thor vs current superman then history gets thrown out the window since both are stronger than they used to be.
