I love me some Destruction Derby 2 but you do have to wonder if Sony just couldn't get the official boxes out in time for the launch of the Playstation,so publishers picked up the unwanted double CD boxes that the music industry were replacing with smaller cases at the time.
@darrenwalshsock Yeah they ran out, so that is the rason there are at least 3 different types of cases, I honestly prefer the doubles to the official ones, they are way less easy to bust to.
I love Wipeout 2097 and Actua Soccer looks ok, I wish there were more football games but FIFA has the football game market in a stranglehold... At least there's still Sensi

Hey Ste, If you want a authentic Ridge Racer for your cabinet, pick up a copy of Ridge Racer Type 4, it comes with an extra disc that has a high res 60 fps version of the original ridge racer. Also sorts out a lot of the clipping the original had, so pretty close tot he original arcade!
But I bought Destruction Derby 2 last week, it sadly looks like arse on a PS3 in HD. Oh, get Destruction Derby Raw as well, DD3, love that game, you can do creative mves on the smashes!!!
@LarryBundyJr I've got the Hi-Spec' demo that came with 'TYPE 4, trouble is your restricted to just 2 tracks and it's only against one car, I might use it as it does save your Hi-Scores and that's why I am making it, for beer fueled nights in with the lads, all trying to out do each others lap times, and it does look a lot nicer, that said I might just fix it so I can access it from the back and be able to pop in any disc I like so it'll be more than just a RIDE' Cab'.
@OhNoNotMyPenis Not sure what I am doing yet, I am planning on making the disc's swapable though, then I can play other games, maybe even a 2 screen job with 2 Playstatoins linked via the SERIAL I/O, it really is early days, I've not even decided on the design yet.

if it was only going to be for ridge racer you should think about putting a steering wheel w/ pedals controller.
would really give it that arcade feel
