@thepleasuremaster22 I'd just like to point out that you probably wouldn't have felt the need to say this if you had seen an intelligent, well-spoken white man.
Maybe you misread my comment, because it's most definitely not the point you were trying to make. You believe Baldwin's colour alone had him praised; I believe Baldwin's colour alone had you 'contest' that praise. Your assumptions paint a better picture of you than they paint of Baldwin or those who praise him.
@SgtSanchez If I may, I believe FloydianHate's point was not that Mr. Baldwin doesn't deserve praise and only received it because of his race, but that thepleasuremaster22 only felt the need to praise his well-spokenness because of Mr. Baldwin's race. In other words, Mr. Baldwin's eloquence is obvious enough without the praise and, therefore, it's not needed. Then again, I could be wrong about this. This argument is very nuanced.
You can excuse any blabbing as nuance if you're smart enough, so on that matter we'll have to agree to disagree. Regardless, no praise is "needed", and despite that, the only two comments before this thread *were* praise.
@SgtSanchez Praise, sure, but they weren't compliments of the man's well-spokenness. As far as blabbing goes, that's all any of this is, including what we're doing. The point, I guess, is that subtlety and nuance is lost through the internet to begin with, add to that the inability of many to express themselves adequately in writing and you have a recipe for misunderstandings.
A most amazing address.

@FloydianHate I understand your point, but don't assume an intention I would or would not have based on the color of someone's skin.

@FloydianHate
I have no doubt your comment would not have criticised thepleasuremaster22's praise if the man praised in question were white.

@SgtSanchez Yes, that's kind of the point I already made.
