I still like the Cat Power version better... too bad for me.

But i gotta say, i like this song in a woman's voice overall.... It's kinda cliché i think for a guy to be singing about being unable to confess his love.

There's merit to the idea, but it's refreshing to hear it from a woman... and like the vesion by Cat Power, i think it makes it more nostalgic. She makes it sound more broken, more raw... and that has a positive effect on the lyrics overall. Me want.... :'-(

Because "I can't think of right words to say..." Didn't you listen to the song? No really, I know telling him seems like the obvious thing to do, but it's slightly more complicated than that. He and I rarely even talk anymore and tragically I think he'd like to forget about me. So, I'm just trying to leave well enough alone while simultaneously wondering if/when things will truly ever be "well enough" in my soul.
