  • Is that a rel elephant?

  • Bombs my eye, it was a huge hit and so was the elephant.

  • I just think its cute.......

  • with all that is said on here about elephants i totally support banksy and think he is wonderful and a creative artist. i hope he never stops doing what he is doing. when it comes to animals most people don't understand where the dolphins from seaworld come from, how elephants are trained, and so on... it's just our society never told people, he shouldn't be judged for it, just educated. in the end we all need to be a little more educated.

  • Elephants are self-aware and pass mirror tests - elephants are also one of the few species of animal on the planet capable of creating art and drawing! They will draw recognizable images of themselves, people they know and other elephants, plants, and other things. Even wild elephants will grab sticks and draw recognizable shapes in the sand.

Elephants that are painted up like this one also change in mood in a way that seems more strident, as if to say "I'm so pretty! Look at me!"

  • @HisEmptyHouse yes! nobody is saying elephants drawing in sand is bad. in fact it's wonderful. but when you see that elephants are tortured to learn specific techniques to sit in a chair and draw a painting that is what people have a problem with. until you personally have dealt with bloodied and broken boned elephants don't sit on here with your naive comments like you have any idea of what is fun for elephants. just keep playing your xbox ....

  • j adore,il a reussi a detourner l attention de tt le monde sur cet elephant,tres fort.......

  • I saw what he did to Disneyland.

I saw the video of him doing

    very creative:]

    very cool

  • this is simply showing that sometimes its hard to see what right infront of us no matter how amazing .... and from that i took a huge sence of looking around more often and really paying attention to the things that ketch my eye

  • I never support anything that's cruel to animals. This is gross.

  • @we1rdsmurf i was at the show. two days later they sold the elephant for a banquet and it was DeSLISH!!! mmm m

  • @we1rdsmurf shut up bitch.. your gross

  • I dont think thats Banksy.

  • @supermax110 it's the elephant trainer. u see him in the Exit Through.... video.

  • I wish the elephant went berserk.

  • New BANKSY Video Exposing FOX Century Live & Aired... The Video Is Called:

Banksy Simpsons Intro...Reuploaded By Henderix369 CHECK IT OUT!!!

  • the elephant looks happy

  • he painted an elephant? ... awesome!

  • who gives a shit about the elephants

  • @CheckThisOutFoo you have a valid point, we can sit and moan and cry about it here on youtube. but unless we get off our asses we actually deep down dont give a shit.

  • it was face paint

    get over it

  • this isn't Banksy

  • @PwnerKev yes it is

  • that is the elephant in the room

  • this is the only banksy art that I've seen thus far that I haven't liked. While the paint he used doesn't do any harm, I find it disrespectful to the elephant. I'm not a PETA activist, I just think it would suck to be made to look like wallpaper against my will.

  • Wow banksy fell pretty hard. I guess when he was co-opted he grew some pretentious art fag tendencies.

  • ledge

  • @ehrenk1 its a criticism of the world ignoring issues like child starvation. Everyone knows its there but no one wants to confront it.

  • Was the Elephant inspired by "Cornbread"? a Philly graff artist who illegally bombed an elephant at the Philly Zoo!

  • mdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspotmdztostencilz.blogspot

  • painting an elephant with natural dyes is probably not that bad for it.... the problem with elephants is the way they are trained to be submissive to humans... they are literally tortured into submission, google pajaan training and you'll know.... i've volunteered to help these animals in asia.. if you really want to make a difference just don't spend any money towards elephant shows, circus acts, street begging, elephant painting or tourist mountain treks in asia or wherever...

  • @nonipixie you missed the point my friend you missed the point

  • @nonipixie Elephants, however intelligent that they are, are wild animals, not people or even domestic animals. The training methods used for them aren't that different from using a bridle to break in a horse - which to people unfamiliar with training methods of horses, looks like torture. I rather resent you spewing ignorance about elephant training as it shows you don't actually understand anything about the animals you purport to care about but are instead just moralizing your ignorance.

  • @HisEmptyHouse you're right it must not hurt at all - even tho over 40% of the elephants that go thru that training die from the induced torture. you're right tho, it must be in their nature. you fking tard.

  • that can't be good for the elephant... and elephants don't eat hay...

  • actually elephants do eat hay... they eat a variety of food.. hay being on of them.... just so you know

  • u don't know wut terrible is if it came and smacked u in the face and said hi im terrible thiz shit is cool

  • this work is by Banksy?

  • yup

  • "The elephant in the room" is a reference to an obvious AIDS problem.

  • i dont think so apparently its about poverty the big problem that is right infront of us but is covered up

  • Comment removed

  • amazing artwork, banksy does it again.

  • no, actually the elephant is painted to blend in to the walls to show how people are covering up big problems in the world such as poverty and world hunger

  • its from the saying "there's an elephnat in the room"

  • it looks fine to me

  • take the poor thing outside and shoot it instead of try to make captive animals some sort of fucking artrevolution....

  • but what does it mean?

  • it is about poverty. It is saying it is so large but not many people seem to see it

  • it's an elephant. shut the fuck up

  • Its totally organic, natural paint.

  • aww, the elephant looks kind of nervous.

seems like it wants to eat but is too distracted...

oh well, certainly a lot better than circus life!

  • isjw1979, I recommend when you insult a god, or anyone, try to learn the basic launguage you are attempting to write in.

  • why do i get the feeling your an old white capitalist trying to drum up hate for Mexicans and Muslims?

  • well done dane, jihadist911, i pity your narrow minded view of the world. youre obviously very twisted if you have a thing against dogs pissing. god, I'm sure they would'nt want to live in an urban area anyway, its part of their domestication set in by humans. god i sound like a div defending the damn dogs.

    go banksy

  • go die by the hand of the marines, graffiti is more powerful than your brown skinned ak-47 weilding douche bag self.

  • said son.

  • fucking idiot whats he on about Banksy is a LEDGEND and his art has meaning to it all around the world

  • BROWN SKINNED!?!?!?!??! White Marines carry ak 47s, brown taggers fuck with white mediocrity. Graffiti and war...NOT RELEGATED TO ONE COLOR, race, religion, sex, or sexuality!!!!

  • i can see how commenting your higher minded opinion on youtube's graffiti scene is really fighting the fight. keep it up man maybe one day you'll learn to get out there like we do and convey your message to an audience that's forced to view rather than goin on these horribly put together terrorist websites that only broadcast their self centered all for allah bullshit that only wastes of life like you view.

  • theres an elephant in the room, its a statement on proverty

  • why poor animal?

  • u idiot y u think banksy did this !? ur the ass

  • Banksy isn't a vandal, he wouldn't have used anything that would have harmed the animal.

  • Its actually, what AN ass

    you fucking moron..

    also, banksy is the best!

  • Haha i didnt mean to use genius twice and i didnt put that i liked the message in it yeah hahaa

    x

  • He knew this would cause controversy. Its plain genius, i dont know what the elephant would think of this though.

Anyway thumbs up from me i think hes a genius :)

    x

  • thats badass

  • VIVA LA BANKSY!

  • thats a bit deep on the elephant but banksy is still wicked

  • Hes a great artist. I just put up my opinion. Nuthin wrong with that.

  • what are tatoos for?

in ancient times it was to mark warriors!

that elephant is a warrior in a modern cage based prison. a war prisoner.

  • its a message! humans doesn´t "shape" them selves in to the nature eny more, thay shape the nature after themselves. when the elephant is painted it matches the wall and fitts in to the room as WE HUMANS like it not as nature want it to be... ( I just realized that im a hippie)... damn!

  • Lol. PEACE MAN!!

  • because he is a political artist and he is a one man army. He gets away for this that are inposible 2 get away from. ohh and if a happen to metion he is wanted for the sharge of the elaphent because of some law or waterver.

  • its because hes not just writing his name he has a message multiple ones his work stands out and he thinks about shit alot of people can go out and hit a couple of throw-ups but who takes the time to repaint a masterpiece, sneak into an art museum, and hang it up? or bust wildstyles on a cow or make a fuken book and get it out to the public WITHOUT getting caught he might not be classified as a graffiti writer cause hes more than that and its not like he cant bomb ive seen his pieces theyre sick
  • fuck yeah banks!

  • the animal was painted wit vegetabale based paint so it didnt afect or hurt the animal in any way, it was on the news, fukin genious man

  • no banksy did this because it shows the goverment does lil stuff to help us but forget the big things.. thats why he made the elphent that blends in with the walpaper

BANKSY THE BEST STENCILER OUT THEIR

    besides obey

  • Obey is fucking whack nut Banksy is amazing and genious. At least he doesn't need to sell shirts to get up...

  • Uh... how 'bout those starving people?... living in utter squalor... with nothing to eat... and little to no medical assistance... or decent drinking water... or suitable housing... and so on and so forth... that's... uh... pretty fucking cruel...

  • wth how do u even no this was banksy????????

  • it was his artshow

  • hindus ITS NOT URE GOd!

  • So tupid to paint an animal. Like animal can say yes or no or talk for itself. Its bad enough it cant live where he is supposed to live in the wild but start to paint it and demonstrate it? Cmon.

  • Yes, Annely, I agree...So tupid.

  • UUUUUUuuuuurrrrrrrrrrr....I am stupid, and I still got it. By the way, the elephant's name is Gaylord Squatt, and he just LOVES to be painted. If it wasn't for Banksy, there would hardly be ANY protest at the moment. Todays kids are too busy being distracted.

  • How do you know that elephant didn't want to be painted?

  • PETA? People for the Eating of Tasty Animals?

  • hilarious.!!!!!!

  • it was aproved by the L.A animal police people. O-K-A-Y??? plus he most likely used the non-toxic spary paint. god you idoits on youtube have to find falts on everything you see!

  • faults*

    :)

  • oops typo. thanks for pointing that out. ^^;

  • Abuse???

  • I DINT GET IT?

  • the number one cause of premature death for captive elephants is foot disease--caused primarily by being made to stand on concrete. So paint aside, making a late-30s elephant stand there on concrete for a few days was cruel in itself. The misnamed LA Animal (Dis)Services Department, after issuing the permit, acknowledged that what it had allowed was "frivolous animal cruelty."

  • STFU THE HOLOCAUST WAS A GOOD THING!

  • ??? okay captain crazy ass

  • Scientifically speaking that is.

  • please explain

  • (part1) well they preformed many medical procedures and experiments on the people they refined many medicines like Sterilization,Typhus, yellow fever, smallpox, typhus, paratyphus A and B, cholera, and diphtheria

  • (part2)they also pioneered treatments for such things streptococcus, gas gangrene, and tetanus also they came up with many methods of deselanation which makes sea water drinkable and could aid many country's suffering from drought they did so much more for medicine than any other group has ever done and this is just the stuff i can think of now.

  • but they did it at the expense of innocent, it was cruel and also a form of torture

  • chaoticjesus (3 days ago) Marked as spam

    Scientifically speaking that is.

they also prevented many deaths in hindsight.

not that im trying to justify what they did or anything.

  • oh no i get what your saying it was still really screwed up how the treated kids and singled out minoritys

  • very true, even the idea of genocide is considered atrocious, but by all means, trying to control ideas by means of laws and jurisdictions is just as atrocious but is highly over looked in our modern society.

  • WOW those are some big words well, i get ur point and i guess ur not sum weird crazy natzi

  • your the first person to actually ask for an explanation, its just instant abuse, thanks.

  • lol yep thts the internet

  • ohhh the horor!!!! how disgusting!!!!

it doesent even say the elephants name!

  • indeed, it's vegetable based paint, so the elephant is ok.

    Banksy the best!

  • vegetable based paint, not harmful so dont trip :)

  • thats fucking terrible. absolutely and utterly horrible!!

the elephant doesnt even get a plasma T.V...

  • that's a shame, chronically poor judgement.

  • poor elephant. get your message about poverty out there some other way...

  • not enough nudity

  • thanks for the video man

    I love banksys work

and mantari seen as this was done with non toxic dye and the animal was treated like a king its ok

  • I want one!

  • I mean, that woman really shouldn't have walked in front of the camera like that.

  • OMG! The HORROR! The horror of it all!!! How disgusting!!!
