@Afriboy10 an example of the stupidity it would bring to the show and the lame fact if superman had went in a big fight with him. after oliver says get him down in the tunnel. so with clarks speed, hes just going to stand there take endless punches till he nearly dies and that would satisify you?? no i think the smart thing and realistic thing to do seeing as he can move that fast would be to prevent chaos, you know? thats what superman does right? lol stop complaining man, and make some sense

@Afriboy10 and of course we all wanted to see an epic fight, but the way doomsday was portrayed here in smallville, like i said it would be kinda of stupid having superman loose to a guy like this or for it to last as much as you wanted it too. because realistically, with the power superman has or just this clark at his age, it would be retarded if doomsday could possibily kick his ass with his intelligence and speed etc. accept the show for what we saw, not base everything off comics.

@Afriboy10 loool. perhaps you need to re read what i posted.. and pay attention. they same occurence happened with the lead up to zod, and the lead up to darkseid. clearly with darkseid he was not in his true form, as clark couldnt just fly through him. that i will agree with others, but like i said kid.. its a television show!! they can only do soo much, the creators of the last three seasons were not the same as the ones before. the budget got low, they did all they could!

i know blah blah the comics superman gets his ass beat by doomsday, ya well things would be kind of boring if superman beat everybody, christ sake even batman has beaten superman as pathetic as that is, weve seen the speed of superman and the facts based upon it and his strength feats, superman losing to a ground based villian like doomsday is so unrealistic if you invisioned this stuff to be real. superman would have this guy in space tossing him thru planets, he totally controls this fight

@koachecaves They weren't asking for Clark to get his ass kicked. We saw that much in this fucking clip. They were asking for a decent fight, which this fell below all expectations. The build-up was ridiculous, with the characters basically saying this was "the ultimate enemy", with one harboring a serial killer just "to protect him". And what happened, Clark gets punched, when he bodychecks Doomsday into a building which detonates. End of fight. WTF?

you guys realize its a television show, the best television show, and unfortunatley things cant be done to perfection, as it is a television, but for you to not admit how well they truly did some effects would be kinda harsh, they did all they could, nothings perfect, and for anyone who knows doomsday no he isnt dead, im sure if the show continued after season 10 hed be back out and at it again. besides superman losing to him would be a shitty fuckin superman with that speed and strength!!

People complaining this was too short need to remember that Doomsday "killed" Superman of the comics with a full complement of powers, including flight and freeze breath. Powers that of this scene Clark didn't have yet. Superman barely kept up with Doomsday. If Doomsday and Clark really fought he wouldn't last very long, afterall he's not Superman yet.

It was a good conception of Davis/ Doomsday in Smallville version, but they can do a better version in a film, to tell all Superman story in couple of movies, meaning origins of kryptonian villains (General Zod,Doomsday,Eradicator), Lex Luthor's origin and how Krypton explodeed. How other villains are born, but again, in a Smallville version a little different then rest of the show.
