MY DOG behaves the same way... He freaking scares the crap out of me.. I heard him once barking and went to see what he was barking and was laying down sleeping.. other times I see him moving his mouth too like this video and the RAPID EYE MOVEMENT which is REM stage, very deeply asleep. I think DOGS have dreams.... LOL!!!

@yazibella this dog is not having a seizure! i have a grey tabby cat that will do the same thing while in a deep sleep. she will do the same thing with her mouth and eyes and paws. this is not a seizure. i work at a vet and i know what a seizure is. so yea its just a dream.

you can actually see it's rapid eye movement(rem), one of the stage in sleeping cycle.

so it's dreaming and it may be asleep but sleeping(rem stage) is actually a conscious state.
