@tatiana12321 Aluminum only has the one charge (+3), so a Roman numeral is not needed. Copper has two possible charges, +1 and +2, so Roman numeral is used to tell us which ion is in the compound.
Honestly same here, my chem teacher just says what you do and then do it. the lack of why it is what it is kills me in this class. great explanations though. hopefully this will help the test.
