I'm really disappointed at how our state is portrayed here, the part i'm from(sure it has highways and in some areas seem a bit over industrialized)but most of it is beautiful parks and farmland and the pine barrens its an amazing place to live and people are so friendly.People will start a convo with you anywhere.South Jersey is nothing like north jersey which is probably where this was filmed,cuz if it were down here you'd never find those shots...its a lot of suburb cozy main st kinda deals.

Hey, I am not against New Jersey in anyway. Yeah, I was focusing on the weirder and creepier aspects in this video, but not in a bad way. I like the weird and spooky parts. This video is not meant to represent New Jersey as a whole, it's just meant to highlight the weird underside to it. I think that makes for a more interesting video! And yes, this was shot in North Jersey, but again, in weird parts. North Jersey has it's nice little suburb areas as well!

Well, it's not just one specific place. The small castle and devil's tower areas are in Alpine New Jersey. Most of it is Northern NJ, though the ocean beach shot, was of course up at the Jersey Shore. Does that help? Probably not, hah, sorry.

It's amazing how like the North is a suburb of New York and the south is like a suburb of Philly, but we have our own thing going on with the devil. And it's cool how we have like industry and a huge population, but at the same time we have farms and we like kick ass when it comes to tomatoes and cranberries and shit. This is one of the best videos on YouTube I have seen. Being from Southern NJ and having spent time in Northern NJ, it never ceases to amaze me of the stark contrast between the two places. Down here we have our industrial parks, but most of the land, especially in the county where I live, is still farm land. Our accents are even different.

The one thing we all have in common is the Jersey Devil. Sure he lives down here, but he belongs to the whole state!

My intention was to show the grimier, weirder, darker aspects of NJ. I know NJ can be beautiful, I live in North Jersey as well (Bergen County) and it's rather nice I suppose! Hahah. But again, the film/poem was about people who can only see the stranger aspects of stuff, and as such, their vision of NJ is limited....to people in devil masks dancing in the woods and odd stuff like that!!

Actually, the only things that happen at the Devil's Tower is drunk teenagers driving around it looking for the devil. All the ritual stuff is just local legends and urban myths that Weird New Jersey does talk about. Sorry you think the film is pathetic, to each their own opinion! I did send it to the Weird New Jersey people and they rather liked it, so yeah, to each their own!
