Workers who are laid off as a result of not bailing out companies will find new and better jobs in the future. I mean, why stay in a failing industry or company?? It's ridiculous. You should plan ahead and realize you're not gonna keep that job forever. Auto workers are still in that 1950s mentality that they're 'entitled' to their jobs, so they think if they lose em, it's the end of the world.
But we shouldn't fight progress. We're postindustrial whether you like it or not.
Bailouts are ridiculous. Gov't has no business deciding which companies don't fail by helping them with taxpayer dollars and discriminating against other companies by letting them fail. Let the market work! If car companies fucked up, they should be punished. Even if the employees weren't directly responsible, although in the auto market, the unions DID ask for a lot of extra costs like healthcare and pensions, we still can't let that get in the way of avoiding bailouts.
check out John Riches shutten down detroit and the ibuyusa video on you tube the guy has great words. We cant be sheep and spellbound anymore by deceitful politicians, media, and forieign unfair trading countries wich are paying and owning these peoples greedy souls. They are not American Patriots They are about me not We.Support Fair trade Domestic owned. if he is correct, then everybody should be working like a Chinese and getting the wage of a Chinese. Still yet, he is correct under globalisation. The one I think is the real problem.
Yeah except we dont have the same market, and most of our employees are not farmers and factory workers, but functionaries. If we want the standard of living to globally increase then free trade is the most profitable and safest way to do it. Cut the taxes and tariffs, increase the trade.

Makes sense. The big3 are burning money and want so much more. They'll be back for another handout within 3 months.
