  • I have 2 goffins and 3 umbrellas and a ;esser and 2 triton cockatoos...

    I love them.

    Your birds are too cute

  • the one cockatoo is the smallest one of the species right.

  • Goffin's are one of the smaller species of Cockatoos yes but BOY are they a lot of work. He's more demanding than the Umbrella is & he can outdo the energizer bunny any day of the week!! LOL

They say the smaller the bird the more high strung it is and I can certainly attest to that with these two. She's easy going & laid back whereas he's just gogogogogo!!

  • so cute, I love seeing animals happy they deserve it

  • Is there anything cuter than a bird bathing in the rain? When it rains outside, my cockatoo climbs atop his cage and starts tossing water right and left and shaking his tail feathers as if he's out in it. It's adorable. He's not that animated when he's actually in the rain though. Silly bird. Normally he showers with me in the shower and I think he's gotten kind of used to the routine. Hopefully this summer, when it's warm, he'll learn to experience the joy your birds are experiencing. So sweet.

  • My birds hate Rain. 1 umbrella cockatoo and parakeets. How did you get them to like it? Cute Birds!

  • Thanks! She LOVES outside & wants to go out even in the freezing cold. We don't let her of course!! She wanted outside in the rain. We figured she wouldn't like it & want back in but let her out to show her it was raining. Much to our surprise she loved it & wanted to stay outside. She loves to shower & started showering in the rain. It's too cute!

It's like a great big shower to them. They love showering with us & loved the rain. They're never alone outside & partially covered by the roof.

  • wow! beautiful birds! they seem very happy and i hope they will be for the rest of their lives. so much people have a chance to get beautiful pets like that and they just end up giving them to the rescues because of how they act. I just wish i would have a chance to get a cockatoo someday or get one from a rescue. I have a cockatiel cause its the only pet i can afford :( its my first one so i do not know to tame it yet. can you give me some advice? thanks!

  • I have a baby Cockatiel and she is docile compared to your birds. Your birds seem to be having a blast! Love them and never leave them alone. COckatoos always end up in rescues :( They are super demanding little babies but they give back their own special rewards. Very pretty birds! Both of them! Nice video :)

  • Aww thank you! We love them dearly & would never give them up for all the money in the world. We've had them for 14 & 11 years. The Goffin is THE most demanding little guy in the world LOL but he's our demanding little guy. These guys are NOT disposable & it bothers me so much when people give them away. :(

  • The smaller one looks like a cockatiel not a cockatoo

  • Nope, he's not a cockatile. He's a Goffins cockatoo. :)

  • Ooops - cockatiel.

  • Hmmm never heard of it but ok, he's cute eitherway!=)

  • Thanks! He is very cute but Goffins are a LOT of work. They need tons of attention & can probably out do the Energizer Bunny any day of the week!! LOL

My Gosh! he's constantly going and going and doing something all the time. Very active and demanding but we love him dearly.

  • Yeah I know what you mean, my cockatoo has decided to "bond" with we have to have someone in the same room well as long as he can see them otherwise he squawks so loud

  • how did you manage that they stayed near the cage and didnt fly off?..

  • They don't have all their feathers so they can't fly or like my friend says, fly like a rock. LOL Which means they may fly a few inches but they'd fall down real quick.

They also like playing on their outside cage and we're always outside with them. We don't leave them alone ever when they're outside.

  • i didnt even have to read the whole message. you cut the end of there feather wings! i actually had 4 birds myself so kinda silly i didnt think about that.DOH!!!!!!!!!!

  • Busy!
