She runs away because she can't take that Chris died. It's a bit rash but a lot of people run away from their problems. And she doesn't cry when he dies because she's probably still in denial. That's why she acts so strangely throughout the episode. At the end she finally accepts or comes to realize that Chris is dead (and Adam is too I guess which just adds to her despair), so that's why she cries at the end. So really everything Cassie does pretty much makes sense to me at least.

ok guys, so heres the rundown. Adam kills himself because he can't bare the death of the girl he was with, she's the one in all the pictures. He didn't want to find new love because he just couldn't get over the other girls death. Cassie did't sleep with him. They were actually both in very simular situations, except Chris was like her best freind, not her lover. hope this helped with all the confusion.
