It's a shame no one has ever upped this great serie on youtube in english or french. I've found only a version in Hungarian..... wich unfortunately i'm not able to understand.
Wow, I've been wanting to hear this English version ever since I saw it on Channel 4 back in the early 1990s. Thanks for posting! Where did you get the English intro anyway? I thought the English soundtrack had been lost...
this is an amazing intro can you imagine a cartoon nowadays having a song like this or an intro this long ? not a chance .I had completely forgot about this programme it really is great to see this again thanks
i would bet 5€ stargate sg1 creators took their inspiration in this series. it's all about adanced people who are mistaken to gods and who meet even more advanced beings in the last 2 episodes. they are made of pure energy and stopped the galactic war in seconds.
I have been trying to trace this for ages. I used to watch it as a teen in the 90's but all i could remeber was the first line of the song . I love the French!
Christ, people have got some issues here. Why not just appreciate them for what they are - nostalgic clips from our youth. Fortunately, je parle les deux langues, so it's plus facile for me :)
PS As for the French "murdering" English songs, did you not know that My Way by Frank Sinatra was originally by our very own Clo-Clo?
I'm French and I want to say that fortunately, all french guys are not so closed-minded that they could'nt appreciate this version too. OK, French lyrics are great, but you can't translate them as they are, it would have been a stupid idea... And the two versions are great, anyway. So what's the problem with all these freeky weirdos roaming around ?
@LTVCorp No idea, I don't know a damn thing about french but they sound identical enough in my ears thus I can't say english singer did it any worse. French version might have deeper lyrics but dunno.
I remeber watching this in English on TV as a child. I prefer the English soundtrack, I think its fantastic-sounds like Shirley Bassey almost sung it!
BTW great thanks and RIP to Albert Barillé who made so many quality cartoons for kids. He died 4 months ago, and deserves gratitude to have made us grawing up with something with a far better quality than the crappy cartoons kids have nowadays.
Ha was such an amazing man, i met him In Paris when i was young, i remember him telling me haw life and respect to everybody were so precious to all of us !
It's French with cooperations works made with several european countries (Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Italy) Canada, Argentina, and Japan. UK, Austria and Germany didn't collaborate. Philippe Bouchet (aka Manchu) is the one who created the ships and scenes illustrations for the serie (by the time he was also involved in Ulysses 31), and the great Michel Legrand for the music. A true masterpiece.
The english version its so espectacular, perhaps the french version its reallity adapted in the cartoon but the orquestation is very very done almost perfect.
This was definitely dubbed into english, as I remember seeing it on Channel 4 in the early 90's. Also, the ship designs have been heavily influenced by Chris Foss!
But I don't understand one thing. On the website of PROCIDIS they sad that this show never has been dubbed in english. But I heard fro other people that it was aired on Nickelodeon with English voices.
I saw the movie "La Revanche des Humanoides" (The Revenge of the Humanoids" on Nickelodeon when I was a kid, and fell in love with the show. The design for the ships alone is heartbreakingly beautiful. And though the French version of the song is much better, I do like the english version as well. It's not bad at all.
Last time I heard this, I was 3-5 years old. I didn't understand the lyrics, but I loved the music, beautiful female vocalist. Now I'm 17 and cynical, but this series still make me feel warm inside. Thanks for this video.
17 and already cynical! ;) But you're right. This series has an optimistic overtone, a little like Star Trek, but it was also educative. All the other series from Procidis were just as good.
Looks like I let myself be carried away with excitement too soon, it's only coming out in Sweden it seems, and only with swedish voices as it was on television all those years ago, which kind of sucks; I was hoping for the original french language with subtitles!
Ahhh... I loved this show. Animation quality was great...and the end of the series was awesome! Titanic space battles to make any anime fan drool. A shame I can't fine anything more of this fine series in English.

Foretold and unseen and more

Heh, funny thing. Most of the space themed cartoons seemed to have this kind of music back in the 80's.
Wild west movies and cartoons had this bonanza kind of music.
and then in the 90's future cartoons had this non-sensical cyber-punk kind of a music.
Do I see a certain kind of a theme pattern in here? XDDD
