the recording quality will not change no matter what kind of tv you use as the tv only displays the picture... the capture card is basically "spliced" in between your console and your tv... it basically copys the signals form the video and audio from your console and saves it to a usb drive... i recommend using an old tube tv as lcd and plasma tv's running a/v cables dont do well, lots of screen blur when turning and over all bad quality (because it has to convert anologe to digital signal)
@MultiScrot find adapters and plugs for a 4 pin svideo is pretty much imposable sense it was replaced with 7 pin version... so i used y,w,r connections
@HomerkaBY i am trying to do that... no successes... the only option i can think of is getting a composite tp component (RGB to yellow,white,red) adaptor.... but i cant find one of those ether... the card i have was $60 for another $40 ($100) you can get one that records RGB and splitter it.... with a 360 you can because there is a yellow plug on your video cable, if your a master electrician i bet you can figure out how to add a yellow to your RGB
