can someone please make a tutorial on how to reload a form. cause im making a program using VB 2008, and i have 2 search function where i can search for student ID or by the student first name and after i search for a student i will like to reload the form back so i can see all the student. plz help

@juankps22 actually that line of code is just a join between the orders and providers tables with an extra AND clause to filter the results by the provider's ID stored in the ID module varible,
i skipped the SQL part just because this video shows how to work out the VB part while the SQL has to be your own...
anyway that string was something like this:
recordsource = "select * from tables where id = " + ID + ";"

@mvmv73 run odbcad32 and add a new odbc connection with similar parametres to my postgreSQL30 just with your settings and make sure you downloaded and installed the odbc drivers for postgre, i'm not shure they are bundled in the main install package but i'm shure you can download them for free
ok considering that i don't know who you are and what you know about it i'll just stay simple... a database is an ordered way to store data in one or more files.
the keyword is ordered because it has a logic order, datas are grouped in tables and through "a program" ( i'm keeping it simple remeber? ) you can get the data back.

@handsomethomas have you tried refreshing the datasource and reloading the datagrid?
what kind of controls are you using? the one in this video are quite old..
what kind of connection are you using?
