the UK is only 113 km/h (7-mph) , other countries faster ( from 120 / 130 km/h)= Thaiwan, Ukraine, Switzerland, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia , Bulgaria, China, Czech , Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montana, Netherlands, Pakistan, Portugal, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, USA. (140 km/h)= Poland. Germany and the isle of man have some areas where there is no speed limit. Italy is going to increase to 150km/h (93 mph)

80 is much better 70 is stupid. I agree with you on a number of issues George but saying people who do above 70mph are on the wrong side of the law just proves that if a law is utterly stupid then it should be changed. Majority rule. Most I would say would support an 80mph speedlimit. It is a fair balance between driving like a milk float and a maniac. So are you anti-democratic now?

i welcome it if there is a new test. it was pretty easy to pass a driving test in the 80's and before so...same with school exams etc

I welcome the proposal of 80 mph.

I hate driving in western countries, especially in the US where I tend to fall asleep and need to pull over for a nap every 3 hours. But, thanks to my third world nation where the cops can't enforce speed limits due to laziness, lack of vehicle, training and absence of speed guns... you gotta stay alert here as you never know what's gonna cross your path here on the highways, it could be a retard, a donkey, a chicken or just people drying their paddy harvest...
