  • This song takes back to a time my son was in my life.Allways thinking of you solomon my prince

  • I LOVE this.

  • YES LOREENA I AM FLYING THROUGH THE GALAXY...CATCH ME SOMEONE....

    STACEY GOLDBERG HALE

  • LOREENA... CAN FEEL U DEEP IN MY SOUL....

    STACEY GOLDBERG HALE

  • where can i find a duncan mcleod?

  • Beautiful song.

Dedicated to all the immortal heroes of the story.

  • I lost someone that I loved so much yesterday. I am tired. With this song I will feel uplifted.

  • This is definitely Laura Creamer !!!

Her (this) cover of the song was created in 95' for the 1st episode of the 4th season of "Highlander" named "Homeland" and it was used in three other episodes of the series i think ...

  • @SensualSeduction91 The song is Bonney Portmore by Loreena McKennit.

  • @daddyboobear

    No, it is not.

Furthermore, it is my firm conviction that people who are unable to hear the difference, but still think the world is waiting for their misguided opinions, should be thrown off YouTube.

  • @profruck Although Laura Creamer does sing this same song, if you listen to both versions, you'd hear that Laura Creamer's voice doesn't get as high as Loreena McKennitt, and isn't as smooth in her deliverence.Just because you may have a hard-on for Laura Creamer, that deosn't make it her singing this particular version.....maybe get your ears checked, and maybe ACTUALLY look at the soundtrack dip****.

  • @daddyboobear

Perhaps that is where you went wrong, darling. You don't LOOK at a soundtrack; you LISTEN to it. Try it! I have high hopes that you will eventually HEAR the difference!

And just so we're clear: I have no feelings whatsoever for Laura Creamer.

  • @profruck Darlin???? Well , I didn't go wrong, because I DID listen to it. Over and over again. Maybe you should listen to both of them apart from this posting and then listen to this. You can definatly hear that it isn't Laura., as her range is much LOWER than Loreena's. Laura also isn't as smooth in her delivery. I find it funny that multiple people can listen to it and say it is Loreena, but you are oneof few that is contending that it is Laura. I guess we're all wrong. bwahahahahaha

  • Connor MacLeod. The one and only!!

  • Beautiful music with alot of heart.

  • Não apenas por ser um admirador do trabalho de pequisa, mas pela magia que ela impregna, cada trabalho.Lorena é mágica,é fundamental, dentro de universo fantástico da música terrena.

  • Why is it when people are confused as to the composer/singer of music such as this that they always put down "Enya" as the artist??

The same thing is like an epidemic on Karl Jenkin's masterpiece, "Adiemus."..which has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Eithne (Enya).

This isnt a bad track at all... I just get tired of seeing Enya plastered OVER McKennitt's, Miriam Stockley's, and LLisa Gerrard's work!! A SMALL amount of research and it wouldnt happen!!

    Cheers!

  • WOW.....

  • Sets a soul to flight~~~~~~so majestic sounding, I wanna float....no matter WHO is singing this heavenly tune!!!! I LOVE IT! Mmmm!~~~~~

  • all i can say is wow

  • Oh leck, das singt weder mckennit oder enya noch creamer.... Informiert euch doch alle erstmal bevor ihr dummwissen verbreitet! Diese (!!!) Version singt Jennifer mcneil

  • This is a very pretty version of Bonny Portmore but it is not being sung by Loreena or Enya. IMO Loreena has a much more powerful version that is the difinitive version of the song.

  • @TristanandIsolt -agreed. I live not far from her hometown of Stratford Ontario, Canada. My parents actually met her while out for lunch there once, and said she was very nice. So is her music. Justin Bieber got the stardom from that area (he is from near there as well) Loreena got the talent. She didn't wast it.

  • I appreciate what Scottclawson is saying. However, this is not Loreena McKennit's song. This is a very old song about an oak tree near Portmore. It was first credited to Daniel Black in 1769, an Ulster harper. So, I guess to be angry that someone else was doing it instead of McKennit is a bit off the mark. I am not trying to undermine what you said, McKennt's version is very nice. I am justsaying that it is public domain, and anyone can sing the song.

  • BRINGS TEARS TO MY BEING

  • simplemente bellisima

  • FALSCH!!!! enya singt gar nicht in diesem song!! dieses lied singt nur loreena!!

  • OMG I HAVE LOVED LISTENING TO LOREENA McKENNITT SINCE I BECAME INTERESTED IN MY CELTIC HISTORY THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT HER PEOPLE JUST WISH THEY COULD SING LIKE HER!!!!

  • whomever it is someone has definitely gone to a load of trouble for this, it sounds like the group of women from celtic women!.

  • This is neither Loreena McKennitt or Enya? Loreena McKennitt one of this is slower and much more powerful.

  • This is not Loreena Mckennitt. First of all, spell her name correctly.. The internet, the thing you are on, does have the spelling, secondly, you really don't know Loreena Mckennitt's voice if you think this is her. More than one artist does sing this song.

    get it together man.

  • This is NOT Loreena (notice the two e's) McKennitt (notice the two t's). This is Laura Creamer, who re-recorded the song for the Highlander series. Any fan of Loreena will immediately hear that this is not her. Where Enya comes in to all of this, is a complete and utter mystery to me... Please adjust your title.

  • @profruck

    "Ce He Mise Le Ulaingt"

    Written by Patrick Hutchinson

    Performed by Loreena McKennitt

    on the soundtrack...

  • @celticircle

On what soundtrack? Again: this is NOT Loreena McKennitt; this is Laura Creamer.

  • @profruck I was prepared to say that you were wrong, as Loreena McKennitt does do a rendition of the song. I think you're right though. I'm a big fan of Loreena, and that doesn't sound like her. I think Loreena McKennitt's voice is a bit lower, and her tempo is slightly different.

  • @profruck Bonney Portmore by Loreena McKennit. Check the credits on the Movie Highlander: Endgame.

  • @daddyboobear

Have you ever bothered to actually LISTEN to that soundtrack? I guess not. If you had, you would have heard that the song on the soundtrack you mention is NOT the same song as the one posted here. The song posted here is not (I repeat: NOT) Loreena McKennitt! This is Laura Creamer.

  • @profruck well,,,,if you had any brains, which I'm certain you don't, you'd realize that the song is Bonnie Portmore, and it is on the soundtrack. It's the very first song on the soundtrack. You may be a misguided moron, but if you listen to the words of the song, you may realize that this song begins with "Oh Bonnie Portmore".

  • @daddyboobear

Don't get your knickers in a twist, sweetie. There is no need foor name calling. Yes, I DO realize that the title of this song is Bonnie Portmore and I DO realize that there is a version of this song on the Highlander soundtrack. The difference between you and me is that I can HEAR that this particular version is not the Loreena McKennitt rendition. It is the version by Laura Creamer, who ALSO sang this song for the Higlander soundtrack (the series).

  • @profruck and don't call me sweetie...I'm not your type

  • @daddyboobear

Finally something we can agree upon.

  • @profruck any fan, eh?...

  • @celticircle

Yes. Any fan. What is your point?

  • They dont have to meet for us,because they meet all the time in the 4th dimension for some tea....sometimes they receive the visit from Yanni and Vangelis

  • great movie and great music . Love it love it ...

  • Very emotional.

  • ME ENCANTAA!!

  • The version from the television show sung by Laura Creamer is much much better than this or Lorena Mckennit's

  • @RogerBellon You are so foolish. This is the Laura Creamer version. It is a bit softer than Loreena's version and prettier in a way but lacking in power and feeling compared to Loreena's.

  • 17 people had a bad day

  • This is "Bonny Portmore" not by Enya or Loreena McKennitt.

  • @411warlock what the fuck are you going on about. Retard.

  • WHATS WITH LIFE AT THIS AGE. WHE' ST YOU COULD SEE LIFE AT AS I HAVE ENJOYED. I HAVE ENJOYED THESE MANY YEARS AND LIFES. IF I ENJOY THE NENESXT 100 YEARS, I WILL BE GRATEFUL. LONG LIFE TO ALL MY BRETHREN AND WILL MEET YOU ON JUDGEMENT DAY. SEE YOU IN 200 YEARS.

SAQRTA RE SAS JASMENT;;; WARLOK 305 YARSES

  • IT SHOWS LIFE AND HONOR AS IT WAS IN THE EARLIER YEARS. TOO BAD, THAT OUR LIVES DO NOT REFLECT WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED AS WE MATURE . DEATH TO ALL THAT REFUSE OUR HERITAGE. LIFE WAS SO MUSH SIMPLER THEN.

  • is that Enya who's sing in that song with Loreena Mckennit?

  • this is not Loreena Mckennit.... the voice is differente. It's a very good voice, but it isn't Loreena's one.

  • <3 ADRIAN PAUL <3

  • nagyon jól sikerült ez a videó ~ egyik kedvenc sorozatom a Hegylakó ~ Aidrian Paul az örök kedvenc <3

  • I love that song,

  • There were three versions of Bonny Portmore done in Highlander. This in not Lorena Mckennit who if memory suits me did a long a short version of Bobby Portmore for the Series. There is a CD that has all 3 versions as well as other songs for the Highlander Movie/TV series but good luck finding it.

  • sehr romantisch

  • ademas del vídeo,la música es excelente! ^^

  • I love that song, its makes me cry heh i want it on my funeral

  • I LOVE this song <3

  • I'm glad I stumbled upon this song. In the "Highlander TV Series" he is offering tribute and mourning joys now gone but not forgotten. I think the song is beautifully filled with emotion.

  • Das klingt wie Breaveheart , hmm komisch.

  • better than mckennit. Jennifer McNeil by the way.

  • This song is so beauitful, it really captures the Highlander spirit, nicely done.

  • Me transmite la paz que perdí hace tiempo. Viaje astral témporo-espacial. Hay relaciones que nacen perennes. No dependen del tiempo ni del espacio (ni siquiera de la presencia vital). :)) Feliz noche.

  • Absolutely beautiful !

  • The poor mans version of the original song by Loreena McKennitt... the lesser cover of a greater song. Just as Highlander IV can not stand comparison with its predecessors, Highlander I and III.

  • Imádom ezt a dalt ! Ha hallgatom akkor megnyugszom. Életemben volt egy időszak amikor nagyon sokat segített.

    Mage

  • Geez people. This song is not Loreena McKennitt. Also this song is called Bonny Portmore. Also, where the hell is Enya? Why do people mislabel this stuff? It's so basic.

  • @LeonardoAcropolis

is what i always say :D

but, where the hell is enya? ?

    this was a joke..right?

  • @mamadevil123

What I mean is Enya isn't performing either.

  • No this is not Loreena McKennit singing. Listen to her voice and you will hear the difference. It´s Laura Creamer singing.

  • @Novelin1

and it´s rather than Laura Creamer !

Creamer can you hear in the episode "Homeland" from the SERIES !

    watch?v=W_hR5eMdDWA

Mckennitt version is in "Highlander: The Sorcerer" also know as part 2 (actually part 3)

    watch?v=5z3G9qW1zQ8&feature=related

    this version sings Jennifer Mcneil,

in "Highlander: The Endgame" also know as part 3 (real part 4)

because the real part 2 "Highlander: the Quickening" will unaccepted from the fans...

the "bonny portmore secret" is out! :D

  • @mamadevil123 do you know the name of the song that is playing when duncan goes to faiths photoshoot in highlander endgame?

  • @cassidy99ful Portmore, its about a tree in England.

  • @MsLinabella Ireland, moron.

  • @MsLinabella Ireland, moron. The English cut the trees down for their boats--first form of deforestation.

    ; )

  • I love Celtic music it alway gives me goose bumps. And I liked all the Highlander movies and the T.V. series as well. Loreena has a beautiful voice.

  • Loreena McKennitt is the best. Highlander forever

  • @vjllorent Mckennitt is Canadian (Scottish parents)

  • Enya is not even in this and this is not Lorena Mckennit sining her song!! this girl is good but not enough passion and power that Lorena Mckennit!

  • @Scottclawson ....the audio in this video IS Loreena singing...perhaps her and Enya were not in the film but this is most certainly Loreena singing.

  • @Scottclawson

this good girl is Jennifer Mcneil ;)

    look my other post

  • @Scottclawson I love this piece of music perhaps the essence and feeling is lost with others but it is not lost with those who search for feeling and meaning. We search for many things in life but once in a while a piece of music touches us. Who cares what others think and who or whatever is presenting it. The piece touches and that is what matters. A real celt enjoys the sound of the voice and the story.

  • @Arawn182 Right OK I am new to this. I love this piece. It makes me feel good and touches something within me and stirs something from my past. A time without compromise and in touch of who we really are and what we can be. Who cares who presents a song as long as it is good to the ear and is enjoyed never mind all the who is and what ever, Enjoy the piece for what it is.

  • @Arawn182 well said

  • @Scottclawson This is clearly not Enya, but this is indeed Loreena Mckennitt, search for Bonny Portmore.

  • Örökké szeretni fogom ezt a zenét!

  • This song was so good and a combo with Enya and Lorena, thats something big, but what I don't like about this song is that it's to short. It could have been at least 10 minutes.

  • The singer althoigh is Laura Cramer

  • The song was used in the 4x01 ep. "Homeland" wich is one of my favourite...

  • I love Loreena McKenitt (with 2 "t"s). Enya is also wonderful but has nothing to do with this.

  • kkk

  • it was also in season 4 eps 1 homeland

  • this rules yo

  • Atya világ de szép ez a nő....

    Ja és a zene is..

  • :) makes me feel good on this monday ...

  • whos harder....conor or duncan?

  • I am really surprised by this song. I love Enya and even Loreena McKennitt. They´re like angles- so amazing, sonft voices. But this song is one of their best. I don´t know the movie, but i like the song and that is important :)

  • @An91able show is awesome check it out and ur be glad u did

  • ja das stimmt

  • I forgot that Edge from the WWE was in this

  • The highlander tv series stays with me as well as this beautiful song.

  • search for "bonny portmore" by loreena mckennitt for listening to the original :)

loreenas version is way better, because her voice is stronger than enyas voice

  • I have two versions of this song from the highlander series soundtrack. Both appeared in different episodes of the series. This is a 3rd recording that I do not recognize. Others say its from endgame so I'll assume they're correct. NOT Enya or Loreena.Loreena can be found /watch?v=yYkg6styqfM

  • Loreena's versions of this never have bagpipes. That's the easy way to tell.

  • @conceptualclarity I think it does, it's just that they are Uilleann pipes, Bonny Portmore is an Irish song so she uses Uilleann pipes.

  • Lorena Mckennit has a buetiful voice mummers dance was a amazing song as are all of them and enya is a very good singer as well there music is very inspiring

  • In The End There Can Be Only One

  • whats the music name??

  • @KaufmannLucas Bonny Portmore

  • Very moving piece of music.

  • It isn't Enya NOR Loreena McKennitt. And her voice doesn't come close to Loreena's. But they didn't want to pay for the real thing. Her voice.. cracks, warbles. That you POST it without knowing is sad.

  • @DebraDownSth there is also a version from loreena right?

  • @Feeluck Yes, Loreena McKennit has wonderful version.

  • one of the greatest songs ever written Lorenna's voice makes me feel like my family never left Scotland

  • Great, great music

  • Enyaaaa???

    Shut up

  • What the fuck is up with those 12 ppl who thumbed down?

  • What a superb combination!

  • ENya? This is not Enya.

  • bellisimo gracias!!!

    Mary***

  • I have never loved a movie the way I love Highlander, movie and the series! And the voice and this song are extraordinary! There's also a live performance of Loreena's Bonnie Portmore, as powerful as this one. Wonderful voice, exceptional song.

  • legjobb :)

  • One of Loreena McKennitt's best!

  • @LadyeRigel1 If it isn't the best....

  • Great film, wonderful song. Sad, but simply timeless song. I often hear this song

  • NAO PODERIA TER UMA COMBINAÇAO MELHOR

    ELAS SAO ESPETACULARES .

    LINDA CANÇAO

  • Special place in my heart and just haunting

  • It may make me sappy, but this, especially this song, always makes me cry.

  • VERY IMPRESSING SONG.....WOW....

  • Haunting! I listen to it often.

  • Why is Enya mentioned?

  • @dkfelix NOt a clue........some people jsut don't know her voice...they still think she sang the song form the Gladator (SP) lol and she did not lol

  • The song is an old one: Bonny Portmore.

  • what part of Highlander is it? Not music. Video I mean.

  • @Fidoxa "End Game"

  • @Fidoxa i mean Higlander 4

  • There can be only one! I love this song and this movie series, although none of them beats the first one. This seems to be all the "extra endings" from the fourth movie.

Since it's already spoiled in the movie (spoilers) I hate the way they went with this film, compared to how it looked like they were going to go. I have an old preview that made it look like a bunch of Highlanders took on Jacob Kell all at once, but that would've broken the rules anyway, I suppose.

  • the best song ever

  • This song always makes me cry. It is full of

    sweet sadness.

  • This song is called "Bonny Portmore". which is an Irish traditional folk song which details the centuries of Ireland's old oak forests, specifically The Great Oak of Portmore, being leveled for military and shipbuilding purposes.

  • 0:20 Castle Arrgh! Hurry, the holy grail awaits! Oh no! a Killer Rabbit!

  • 0:20 Castle Arrgh! The holy grail awaits!

  • One of the most remarkable songs from a film. People can forget even what the film is about, but they will remember the song )))

  • There's no way to forget the movie neither the music.

  • @SweetBayGirl

My best movies and my best song

  • @SweetBayGirl highlander was a awesome show how can you say that they can forget the show but remember the song when the show is just as good

  • @whitestar111 She's not talking about the show, but about the film (read what she wrote). This soundtrack played in the 4 highlander movie - one of the worst movies in the Highlander saga.

  • @SweetBayGirl

    I agree.

I mean to be honest I did rather enjoy the film, I dont think it should be considered the worst, I mean the acting was brilliant, the coreography of the fights were very impressive and the music was simply breathtaking, my opinion, but even if no one likes the film, they will always remember how amazing the song really is.

  • @MaleficusMonocerus89 Agreed, I actually rather like Highlander 4, maybe because I was always more a fan of the TV show that the original movie.

Anyway it is a MUCH better movie than Highlander 2 or The Source.

    Beautiful song also.

  • meravigliosa canzone, fantastico telefilm

  • Maravilhosa, tanto a música quanto o filme, adoro a série.

  • Adrian Paul is hadsome, emotional. I guess he is gay.

  • Adrian paul is married to one of the "uh-huh" girls from the pepsi commercial with ray charles.

  • @Feast888 LOL... prolly.... pft... tsk

  • @Rain0123 It was a joke.

  • this song makes me so grateful for the world

  • this song is to remember all the moments of our lives and do not forget that we are lucky that we can remember

  • What a voice - she is new to me but I'm so glad to have found her

  • adrian paul is HOT! x
