I always thought the midair jump was added into the game on purpose, along with those shortcuts to get powerups before other ones. And the Tourain shortcut too. It makes sense, but to much to fit into a comment.
BTW, when you pointed out the "Continue my game miniboss" code, you had the wave beam, even though you said "no powerups". Not that it'd do any good in Tourain.

Thanks to that trap at 1:06, I ALWAYS look everywhere when I see an energy tank in Metroid games. You never know when there might be another trap...

I just ound out that if u put continue and put in NARPAS SWORD0 000000 000000
and turn into morph ball and fall in the morph ball upgrade thing u will have the varia suit really fast. it worked for me.
