Hello! Can someone please explain to me more about tethering? Such as are you using wifi or data plan? Do I need my pc turn on at all times to use this on my mobile? I am a newbie here.. Thanks!

What I hate is that if somebody calls you, you get disconnected from Wireless Tether...

Cause recently my neighbor shut his router off and so I haff to do this to get online on ps3 and if I'm in the middle of play black ops someone calls me guess what....

Good News you no longer have to do this. Now you can go to your Wireless setting if you the 2.2 froyo and their will be a Mobile AP option. This is a mobile Airport that allows Wireless Tethering. Hope this helps.

Hi, I need some serious help. I connected my computer to wireless tether but now I cannot connect to my home network or any of the neighbors networks wirelessly. I can still connect to the wireless tether but no home networks. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I wonder that is it possible to do it in different way?

I mean:

- share PCs network VIA BlueTooth

- and connect your HTC Desire to PCs Tethered network Via BT

- surf on HTC using BT tethered network made on PC or another HTC (Android based)

also I have two HTCs (Desire and Desire HD), one is rooted and can go on Ad-Hoc, another one isn't rooted, so, Is there any way I can share a WiFi from first one, and connect another one VIA BlueTooth?

This is awesome but it sucks that you have to root your phone to get this. The average nub is not prepared to root and although I understand the in and outs of it, I still don't feel comfortable doing it. I really hope Google or someone gets something stable and easy to install soon.

This might be stupid but is wifi tethering suppose to allow you to get internet connection on your computer via your phone.  I'm confused as to the use of this program.

Q1: can you tether your nexus one without a cell phone carrier or lets say with out an active Sim card from a cell phone carrier?

Q2: can you use your nexus one to tether wifi , then still using the same nexus one to browse the web using the wifi signal (connections) from the same nexus one phone you are using to tether?
