I love being a child sponsor! So much that I started volunteering with World Vision Canada. Some day I hope to be able to travel to Armenia and visit with little Gagik. He's so sweet!
If you really want to sponsor a child then I say go for it. It's a great experience and it's really not expensive. You're making a real difference in someones life who really really needs someone to make a difference. It only costs me $35/m to help Gagik, his family, and his community to grow and be independent.

Does anyone know how things are in armenia right now?
I began sponsoring a small boy there, not long ago, and have been trying to educate myself on what's going on in that part of the world.
Any accurate info. that anyone has, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I'm Canadian, born and raised.
I worry about my little Gagik. Things these days are getting tougher all over the world, and he didn't have things so good to begin with.
He's only 4 years old. And lives in a home for children. His parents can't afford him, but they still see him regularly.
I'd like to know how things are for them. If there's anything more I can do to help their family.
