  • Kassemg is arguably the perfect man.

  • Five people have syphilis.

  • "the genit, as you rightly say, alia" hahahahaha!!

  • Arnold did so much steroids that he can't be the holotype. I don't want the holotype to have tiny balls like him.

  • whats this show called please ?

  • @frogterminator QI. its on bbc.

  • I love Jo’s men jokes! :D

  • Why isn't that guy in the leonardo da vinci's picture considered the perfect man? Everyone knows it, and he's a pretty standard archetype.

Or is the actual body needed for this job?

  • @JhericFury Yep, you need to have a skeleton, I'm afraid.

  • HUGH JACKMAN!!!

  • Oh look, Jo Brand made a "my husband" joke. Again.

  • > 2012

    > still believing in a perfect human

    > still believe objective values for judging perfection despite proving how subjective it is.

    Stay classy internet.

  • @ronocko Go back to 4chan, autist. You missed the point entirely.

  • @seraphilm0 Then they should of said the Essential man but such a thing doesn't exist either. Any way you define it it's stupid.

    Whats wrong with 4chan?

  • its sean connery

  • ofc the perfect being is as einstein described, a complete mind understands the science of art and the art of science. As we are a species more about intellect than physical aspects, ofc if it was about the physical aspect of humanity neither skinny or fat would be a holotype

  • @Etrajbe I'd say the perfect human is kind of in the middle of everything. Not too dumb or intelligent, not too mean or too nice, not too fat or skinny or muscular. It appears men are found prettier when they have symmetry in their face, and broad shoulders and small hips.

  • @PointlessSteel Well, i disagree. A perfect human, is as you indirectly say, a person with imperfections, YES. A perfect human is a person of value, being himself and being the best that he can be. So id obviously say in the first line being intelligent, then nice, then muscular.

  • Michael Fassbender. Perfect human being.

  • "The genit-- as you rightly say-- alia."

  • Stephen Fry for Holotype!!

  • Donatello

  • for anyone who is curious Leonardo's surname was Piero.

  • @FaRrOwFoXlol Wrong. Piero was Leonardo's fathers name.

Leonardo had no surname in the modern sense, “da Vinci” simply meaning “of Vinci”: his full birth name was "Lionardo di ser Piero da Vinci", meaning "Leonardo, (son) of (Mes)ser Piero from Vinci".

  • @HeavenlySword Now THAT.. is quite interesting. Well done :^)

  • It's been said that, just like most men are known to be attracted to women of average weight with curves, females are commonly attracted to men with well built bodies, through evolutionary programming that would indicate said male is healthy (so as to pass on decent genes to potential offspring) and is strong (so as to play the role of a good provider), and this has now become almost instinct for men and women to look for similar traits in a potential mate.

  • Is there a perfect man?

Good listener, intelligent, interesting, rich, British.

Oh sorry. I just described Stephen Fry.

  • @church1000 And he is gay.

  • Stephen, you're the perfect man ;)

  • Donatello does machines.

  • "Spread Eagle" yes, Ezio posed for that Da Vinci drawing, I'm sure of it..

  • I personally disprove the whole 'your arm span is the same as your height' thing. I am 178cm tall and my arm span is 191cm

  • @HardlyNormal12

I normaly isprove it too, But it is almost right. Your arm span is never much bigger than you hight and vise versa.. but damn man.. you have long arms!

  • @HardlyNormal12 same. I'm 176cm tall and my arm span is 184cm

  • If there was a perfect man, I'd say Stephen Fry's the perfect man of course

  • I heard that first buzzer go, and without even looking at the panel I thought 'I bet Jo Brand is gonna answer this'.

  • tummy banana NICE

  • A job as the perfect man? "As long as you don't have syphilis." Oh darn, another career path down the drain.

  • Tom of Finland?

  • a dead one. i love her!

  • rolf of australia....

  • Im slightly shocked that none of them knew who invented the classification system of species. The man classified every single species of animal and plants that were known at the time; no one else has ever done that, neither before nor since. Also, he long pre-dated Darwin in classifying the human species among the apes. And they all sit there like bloody question marks. And here I thought the Americans were the dimwitted. Who the hell doesnt know Linnæus... jees.

  • @GroovingPict That is hardly common knowledge.

  • @LDNLeon of course it is common knowledge, dont be daft

  • @GroovingPict That is in no way common knowledge.

  • It's really hard to watch this while measuring your body against itself.

  • That's a rectangle not a square. :P

  • @Exfenestracide It is a square. The picture is just a bit wonky.

  • They forgot Donnatello.

  • If Jo Brand's comment was online I would "like" it instantly. not because it's true but because it was quick and so funny ;')

  • @aimeefran Which one?

  • @TheSlinkyGuyShow "The dead one" :)

  • @aimeefran If Jo Brand was on the road I would run her over instantly. not because it's funny but because no-one would miss her.

  • @enzyme1210 I would miss her! And I don't believe I'm alone on this.

  • @enzyme1210 Do you go around roadkilling anyone you don't miss?

  • "But..Mmnnn...Why do I keep making that noise?"

  • As a Swede I have always been told it's Carl von Linné..

  • @Marvulven As a Finn I've always been told the same.

  • @Marvulven He was knighted as so many others after his prime

  • @Marvulven Det ble "von Linné" etter at han ble adlet. Fødenavnet hans er faktisk Linnæus. Det er ikke en latinisering av "von Linné" som kanskje mange skandinaver tror.

  • They may not have found a "fat skeleton" but they have found several thousand skeletons with varying bone widths and proportions. I'm 5'5" and my arm span is 5'9". i inch of that is to my arm length the remaining three inches are my shoulders. my torso, hands and feet are all as wide as that of someone a foot taller than myself. I wear 6E shoes! Most stores stop at 4E. I always have to deal with about a half inch extra length in gloves that fit in the width.

  • @gyrrakavian im 6ft1 and my arm span is 6ft6

  • @ennuiross Fun. I wonder if there really is anyone who fits the Vetruvian dimensions

  • Ironically my ''tummy banana'' does not taste of banana, it tastes of cheese. I discovered this when I took up yoga after not washing for a week.

  • The man in the middle looks like Don Vito from Viva La Bam

  • Whose that? with arms and legs out like that...

    Jesus...?

    LOL

  • michaelangelo, leonardo and raphael...........who was the other turtle?

  • @jakamneziak

    Donatello

  • @jakamneziak donatello?

  • @jakamneziak Donatello.

  • @jakamneziak Donatello

  • @jakamneziak donatello

  • @jakamneziak Donatello

  • @jakamneziak donatello

  • @jakamneziak donatello

  • @jakamneziak Donatello, all named after rennaisance artists :P

  • @jakamneziak Donatello.

  • @jakamneziak Donatello :)

  • @jakamneziak donatello?

  • @jakamneziak donnatello, god im a nerd

  • @jakamneziak

    Donatello

  • @jakamneziak Donatello

  • @jakamneziak Donatello ;D

  • @jakamneziak Donatello

  • i suggest mini me(vern troyer) as the holotype, put him on a plaque and send it to space a a representation of the human race

  • da vinci would have drawn that quicker than a polaroid devolops

  • I defy the whole, armspan=height thing. I've been measured, I'm 178cm tall and my armspan is 191cm

  • Rolph!!

  • Jesus.

  • > undesireable male human is depicted or mentioned

    > "say 'looks like my husband' " switch flips in Jo's head

  • I'll go and serve my species and volunteer to be the holotype of Mankind.

  • The Perfect Man is a Wo-Man.

  • @futbolangel02 good nice 1 i liked that

  • I accept your apology on the begalf of Sweden. You may now sleep in peace

  • there is no such ting as the perfect man since perfection is judged subjectivelly. Therefore since perfection means no flaws at all, one cannot exist unless all other opinions are removed form the equation making the specimen in question the only one in existence. Thus making a mockery of perfection and all attempts to create a utopian entity in any form or subject.

  • Bruce Lee was the perfect man. Strength combined with agility rather than Arnie who just had overgrown muscles which impeded movement and would have made it rather difficult for him to hunt animals over long distances (which is after all how nature intended us to survive).

  • @TaffTalk How is he perfect man when he spent hours training his body in the gym, just like Arnold, only difference is Arnold ate more. Surely the perfect man would be a naturally devised physique i.e not additional work done on it. No one is born like Arnold or Bruce lee, it wasnt how God / nature intended humans to be ???

  • @2ndSSBggydbluds Nature intended us to build muscle mass, hence we have that ability, to practical levels, not to excess, and Bruce Lee is famous for only using his own bodyweight and martial arts to build his physics not gyms/supplements/steroids.

  • yes his name is Darren Criss.

  • @xavier12SPMC YES! *high five*

  • @xavier12SPMC I came here to say that. Good job!

  • How did they not know the Vitruvian Man? Are these intellectuals or common show hosts?

  • @theflamento Their there to be funny And on that subject they are masters of their art.So wind your neck in and stop being so bloody-minded!

  • @TheTheoldgit Oh, sorry. I didn't know this was a comedy show at the time I posted my earlier comment.

  • 2:42 lol

  • i love when stephen fry says 'it wa-no

  • God, Jo's taking the piss out of everyone!

  • I knew Lineus!!!! God damn if only i was on that panel D:

  • @AngelBiLove I also knew the Vitruvian Man!! God im so smart!! D:<

  • 1:10 Standard of perfection!?!

    It's like a paradox ...

  • lol Rolf of Australia

  • Someone shoot that talentless misandric cunt already.

  • @soulofshiver sorry, who?

  • Can you use the word peevish today?

  • Jesus

  • Chuck norris

  • As a Swed I accept the apology.

  • @nekwa2 As a swede you just misspelled Swede.

  • @jayjjj3

I did didn't I? Thank you most cindly for pointing that out.

  • @jayjjj3 Swedes dont need any silent 'e's, thank you very much!

  • If you don't have syphilis you're abnormal!

  • No, Jo Brand complaining about Men -again- on Qi... It's almost unthinkable... =/

  • Is that Colin Morgan on the right?

  • @corvus13

At what point in the video? :D I don't think merlin's there btw ^^

  • @Akfilm92 The skinny guy on the right in the backdrop, no, it isn't really him, it just kinda looks like him.

  • @Akfilm92 On the screen at the start

  • @corvus13 I know what you mean, but don't think it is him

  • @corvus13 on the hosts right is alan ?and jack dee on his left jo brand and jimmy carr

  • @reksub10 On the right in the photo.

  • @corvus13 sorry i apologize for that,

  • Carl Linnaeus, his real/Swedish nameas Carl von Linne.

And he is the face of the 100-kronor bill.

  • I love how embarrassed Stephen Fry is when he's complimented, even if it's a sarcastic compliment by Jo Brand :)

  • If I could have Stephen Fry's babies that baby would be the perfect human.

  • @stext2003 So many people want Stephen Frys babies. I read this all the time lol

  • Love Stephen's jacket

  • If I could have Stephen Fry's babies I would
