@albokid52 "tonne" is part of the metric units, being 1'000 kilogramms. A "ton" is the empirical equivalent and equals 2'240 pounds, rendering it almost the same.

It's absolutely amazing to see that a dream by one single person would turn into this. I just hope Bruce McLaren is watching from heaven. God bless Ron, and everyone who has made this possible. You're all amazing.
@krmnarrow I doubt Bruce Mclaren had such a big vision. Maybe, but i think if he could see how strong Mclaren are today after so many years, managing to become a car manufacturer with such facilities and all that from an F1 team when so many other teams failed to even keep racing i think he would be in awe.
I have to take my hat to Dennis. Bruce gave the name but Ron was the one who really made things happen.
