Thank you!!! this is our first full year of VREP (Virtual Reality educational Program) in my school and we're using blender, your videos are great for learning more!
hey, I just made a dragon, only one problem, i want it to differ in colors (e.g have the flaps of the wings different colors to the whole body, how can i do this?
@JTBreslow make sure you are in 'Object Mode' (tab) and have nothing selected (hit A key) before you add the 2nd object. Otherwise they will be linked.
Do all these pieces have to seperated in order to color them? Because I did one but the pieces got stuck together and now I can only use one color. D:
is it possible to color an object, then, make another object and color it using another color, when I have two objects, I try to change the color, it changes both, everytime
Are need to be in object mode when you add the new mesh. If you are in edit mode (the mode where you can see and manipulate all the vertices) then it will color everything at once.
Hit tab to switch to object mode. Then add the new object, and you should be able to color it separately.
you simply create a new material index (click on "NEW" on the colour box thing), then go on the shading section and apply a mountain texture. hope that helped :)
Hi! I've tried what you said but everytime I try to color only the selected mesh everything even the parts that aren't selected is colored that color.
Make sure you are in object mode (hit tab) before you add a new mesh (shape) otherwise it will assume that you want the same material for all the meshes.

When I try to color more than 2 objects, they both come out the same color. Do you know how to make them both differ in colors?
