  • I was told I have this epilepsy after a "friend" tried to kill me with an axe, luckily it was blunt, still caused damaged to my brain, and broke my shoulder. I now get a lot of de ja vu, but in a different sense, 9 out of ten times I can tell what is going to happen, never anything bad though. I now suffer from vertigo too, Aswell as a few spooky sightings, anyone else know of any links with this epilepsy and vertigo? Cheers.

  • one name "Vincent Van Gogh"

  • I get these seizures but unfortunately they are always very frightening, I feel like I'm being kicked around so I can feel all the pain anyone has ever left throughout history. The worst one I had left me with traumatic stress disorder that I had to get therapy for so thats how real they feel. I am very philosophical, I was like that even before I got epilepsy though. I am now an atheist (most of the time :)

  • DUDE IT'S THE HOLY SPIRIT!

I want temporal lobe epileptic seizures too =D

  • @YukiNekoPrincess it's not so nice actually. unfortunately the seizures are insufferable most of the times...

  • @littlepianist89 Well, listening to this guy, he says he prefers being the way he is, despite the seizures. So that means temporal lobe epilepsy must be SO good that people are willing to go through these seizures :O

  • @YukiNekoPrincess please note that the symptoms differ from one patient to another, even if the diagnosis is the same.

  • @littlepianist89 Oh, I see. Can you tell me more? What symptoms differ, other than the intensity of the seizures?

  • @YukiNekoPrincess some of the symptoms are: smelling things that do not exist, hearing sounds nobody else can hear (voices for example), seeing and feeling things that do not happen, confusion, not being able to speak, not being able to think properly, seeing everything upside down, seeing two images at the same time, strange feelings that cannot be specified, forgetting all the time, automatisms during the seizures and much more. have a happy and healthy new year!!!

  • @littlepianist89 Wow, that sounds pretty awful. I hope that guy doesn't get all these symptoms at the same time. D:

The same to you, by the way!!

  • @interactivesystems. I finished the novel and self published it as an E book on Amazon. It's called the Jubilant Players by Richard Reyes. It's an odd, complicated book with part one about 911 and part two about temporal lobe epilepsy. In other words, Part one is stare into death and part two a stare into God.

  • I have these, but not to this degree at all. Mine sort of feel like deja-vu on steroids.

  • I've been addicted to painkillers for 10 yrs. and on suboxone for 5 yrs. Withdrawl from suboxone is as bad as opiate withdrawl and I had siezures. I don't remember what happened when I was "out", but I awaken enlightened. I was praying for death or God to take this addiction or pain away and He gifted me with something so much better. Absolutely a new lease on life! I'm so glad I found this cause my family thinks I'm nuts!

  • This is really interesting to me because my son has these kinds of seizures. What is more interesting is that my whole family is chelating with Alpha Lipoic Acid. After chelation rounds, I notice that I have revelations and new thoughts pouring into my head. I have never had so much ability to have original thinking and "big picture" thinking.

  • Tell him to try suboxone its the only thing that will bring him back!!!!!! Pass this on to him. ASAP

  • Can someone tell this guy that I have this too and feel his pain. Maybe it will make him feel better. Don't take gaba or gabapentin or caffiene it will trigger them!!! Pass this on.

  • I saw this when it first aired a few years ago. I continue to be awed by the depth of emotion and spirituality of this young man as well as by his pain. It inspired me write a novel about a young man with temporal lobe seizures overwhelmed by the ecstasies and agonies of a state of mind beyond his fathoming. THE JUBILANT PLAYERS by Richard Reyes.

  • @reyesrichard510 let us known when its done! im one of them too. the god stuff led to my diagnosis, its hard to live a dual life.

  • Nova made an error when it described epileptic seizures as "when a group of neurons starts firing at random out of synch with the rest of his brain", it is actually a situation of abnormal enhanced synchrony of neurons (Epilepsia

Volume 46, Issue 4, pages 470–472, April 2005). I will be making a YT video about that in the future.

  • I find this incredibly amazing. I have temporal lobe seizures and I know I go through days of feeling incredibly religious and close to God and hurt deep inside for people in the world that suffer and then I have days when I seem to be an almost opposite person, complacent if not mean to everyone who gets near me. But the serious crying spells and emotional upheavals happen on the "Godly" days. It's really hard to explain unless you are inside a persons head that is experiencing it.

  • @Paranormalady bi polar disorder

  • @Paranormalady Yea I know sometimes Its really bad, I might have Temporal Lobe epilepsy It hasnt been confirmed but ive had my brain scanned. Once I thought I was going to be burned because in my past life I was a Nazy or something and I would see the people walking in the street marching like nazis and things like that. Also I once belived I was Ares the god of war and thought i could see how talented the people around me were to become warriors and crazy shit like that...

  • Would TLE not also increase a person's empathy and ability to sense other's emotions? The increase in electrical activity described the the good Dr. would be two fold, incoming and outgoing. If the brain were to be opening new pathways by increased electrical stimulus, then isn't it possible that we may encounter the space where science (as we know it) breaks down and things that envelop the soul increase. The understanding of energy is key.

  • This is fascinating and amazing, yet so sad at the same time. It's like a gift and a curse all in one.

  • @DuchessAliana a gift and blessing describe it perfectly in two words.
