to watch such a brilliant actor like brian blessed playing the role of long john silver is a gift, but then to see him facing the ones like oliver cotton and nick brimble in the role of nasty pirates is just outstanding!!! if

this is maybe the strongest episode in the whole series, as it creates such a great atmosphere of buccaneer life.

I grew up watching this 10 part series in the late 1980s, and absolutely loved it! I think it helped to fuel my interest in the Pirates of the Caribbean and other pirate stories! Thanks for putting it on you tube!
