  • And so, David, how'd the funding search go?

  • LA FTW

  • You would love Austin, it's the best!!

  • Austin is awesome!! The best of luck!!

  • The music scene is infamous and great, and as you know the film scene is on the rise. Like I said, anything artistic is accepted here, you could feel free to express yourself in the most abstract Stan Brakhage sort of way with your films, and it will be appreciated. With the artistic and very friendly atmosphere I think you would fit in here!

  • That's the exact thing that made me decide to move. LA simply doesn't appreciate true art. In any form really. But, I can understand that, because LA is a money and business capital. And I could care less about that.

  • Hey man, I have lived in Austin all my life and I am a "future" aspiring filmmaker (I just started college). Austin is great! It is such a good atmosphere for artistic creative people, because the city caters to those people. The majority of the city seams to be very mellow and creative, and anything artistic is accepted. This city is one in which you can completely relax in the calmness, or go insane with everybody downtown if you want.

  • Just to let you know that Minneapolis,MN has a big music area. And a big theater companies too. Good Luck to you, David.

  • I don't know if its his voice or the intensity of his eyes but I am thinking of Charley Sheen, no offense maybe its just me and I haven't had sleep

  • I think you should seriously look into moving to Toronto, or at least visiting it.

Since you will be in New York, Toronto is not that far off. Have you looked into the Toronto film festival? I have lived in Las Vegas, Arizona, Utah, and Michigan. Toronto by far is the greatest place I have ever experienced. They call it the 'New York' of Canada. Film is big here, have you ever looked into it?

  • Austin makes sense right now. =)

  • Good luck man! I enjoy following your videos and your short films. Peace.

  • you're giving up too easily. You knew this wasn't going to be easy... c'mon David, hang in there!

  • I am absolutely not giving up.

  • You're talking about moving here..and there.. thinking it's going to be easier. This is your journey! You're GOING to make it here. Enjoy the ride love!

  • Hey David, long time. There´s another user on YT, Antirelusionist. He´s studying film in Austin, so it might be worthy to give him a shot.

    Take care.

  • My aunt Ronda used to live in Austin, she didnt like it, now she is in New York. Not that its relevant to you but your video reminded me of her. Something keeps telling me San Diego or San Francisco , what are your oppinons on these cities ? I liked your email to Eric, thanks for sharing it.

  • I love San Francisco. It seems a bit pricey at times and I think that if it was up-and-coming in film, due to the amount of detailed research I've been doing, I'd probably have crossed paths with it.
