I disagree. Lola is a 35 year old song, so my guess is that the people who still know the Kinks know the larger body of work.
And to be honest, I think I hear this song on classic rock radio more than I do Lola.

You are right when you say that , but i meant that they are famous for their song 'lola'.
When you talk about the Kinks , most people will know them from 'lola' .

I remember them too when they came over and everyone was WOWed by "You Got Me Now". That one broke the ice here in the States for the Davies Brothers.....
