Gamecube Problem

I wish i still had my gamecube. It got minor moisture damage and couldnt read the disc (same as this one). If i didnt get rid of it it would have turned 8 last month. Still have the controller though, and although I had to fix the analog stick and R trigger, its still damn fine looking and plays great.

I had this problem too and I think I see the problem. Its in the way you are closing it. Try putting the disc in and gently close the top. Gently. I didn't think it would work either, but then I tried it and from then on I never had a problem again.

Well, with the way you put in your CDs, they might be scratched up without you seeing it. I've had the same problem for about 5 years now...

1. check the game discs for scratches, try a m8's game if yours are scratched

2. clean the lense

3. remove all the dust inside the console (dust can stop it working currently)

I had this problem too. If you take the disc out then go to the disc menu is in the gamecube interface and see that it says you have no disc, your motor gave out. It happened to me as soon as I beat metroid prime in, well... metroid prime. Had to do it on the wii

some times the disc drive dies and it becomes an utter piece of shit or it becomes useless and you have to buy a new one.

hey, listen, I've got the solutions to your problem.

This probles is cause your game ( I sure) is another norma of your nintendo gamecube. for example: sure your GC is ntsc and your game is pal, well, playstation 2 can read another normas games, but in black and white (algo es algo = something is something).

Well, you have to do is to install de chip "xeno" in your gamecube, this chip make that your gamecube can read games backup ( juegos piratas o truchos) and unlock de norma (pal/ ntsc).

Did you ever fix this? Try compressed air inside the CD cover where the sensor is, worked for my PS2

Just clean the optical lens and use a vacuum on the sides to remove any dust, that fixed mine
