yeah. I feel the whole "I want to go down as a genderless musician thing", but in REALITY, they DO have to be noted on the fact that they're females. I'm sure now you want to know why. BECAUSE IF THEY WERE GUYS, THEY WOULD SUCK. They would never get signed to ANY label. I'm a musician myself. I've been playing metal since I was fucking six. It's a fact that the only reason ANYONE knows who this band is, IS because they're females. Anyone on Sumerian BURIES them. But since they're girls.........

One of Kittie's greatest songs. It's so unfortunate that they didnt keep this sound. It's gritty, rugged, and it proves that just because they're women, it doesnt mean they cant get down with the big boys. All of the albums after Oracle have disappointed me, mostly because of the band member changes distorting their sound. *sigh* Music like this isnt made anymore...

@tera1320 How about just by saying, "They are a great BAND", (period). You don't have to have the word "girl" in there altogether. To "compliment women nowadays" as you put it, you can just compliment them in general, about who they are as PEOPLE and not necessarily relate it to their gender.

I'm a musician too and I'd rather be known as a great musician, than as a great female musician. It's a PITA to continuously be categorized based on my gender almost as much as by what I'm doing.
