I think that dubbing is the worst thing that ever happened in the history of humanity. If you think about it, it's: Ok we going to replace amazing actors' voices and expressions by a french version made by people that were not good enough to be actors (considering french actors it's hard to believe that some people aren't good enough).

There are 3 options: Learn English, Use Subtitles or don't watch american tv shows, DUBBING IS NOT A F***IN OPTION!!!

It's a massive french problem, we don't want to learn other languages, we don't accept other countries' culture, we'd rather create our own version of it...

But there are still other reasons why it is an advantage to learn other languages not only because of TV-shows and I like watching scrubs in my own language. There's nothing bad about it. I love learning English and French-> (it is not easy but i'm doing my best :D) in my school. We have to protect our languages beacause one day they will disappear. The influence of English is a problem!

true, german dubs are better than french dubs... except in animation- (being from switzerland, we get both RTL, Pro7, Canal+, France2,3,4, TF1, etc) Also, jokes are more solid in german because of the variety of english words in colloquial german... German, French, Spanish, and Italian make very good dubs in general because of the amount of programming that is translated- unlike english which has unbelievably horrible dubs, live or animation. laughable at best.

Original voices are always the best of course but in countries other than America, unfortunately we have to get used to "doublage" (is that the correct word ?). Finding a tv show in english with french subtitles (for example, derboschtel you are right by the way but the jokes they can't reproduce they change them sometimes totally and it's still funny, you're just desapointed when you see the original one).
