I think Resident Evil CVX is the best of the main games purely for the soundtrack, the saveroom music is just so relaxing. Without the soundtrack it had the game would just be an average RE game. :)

The scariest thing that could happen in a Resident Evil game is if a BOW or zombie smashes its way in to a save room to kill you and the music changes abruptly. I don't think I'll ever feel safe with a typewriter again should it happen!

So glad to have been growing up in the 90's just to have experienced the early RE series :)

I still like the new RE's, but they will never feel as good as they did back then. It's more action than survival horror now. No more finding keys, reading files for codes and solving puzzles ;( It's just too easy now. You complete the games fast without any real effort =/ I will never forget the old save room themes tho, so many good childhood memories from RE and PS1 =)

@iMerk93 I totally agree. Resident Evil 5 is a great game, but it just lacks what 1-4(and Veronica X) had. I really miss the door opening sequences, puzzles, keys and just how they flat out scared the hell out of me. I really hope they steer back in the direction of the old games for upcoming releases.

I think the save room theme from "RE:Code Veronica X" was the best theme of them all, I love that beat soo much in soo many ways!! Then "RE 2" theme was the 2nd Best, it had that serious touch to it!! But I'm curious as to why the save room theme from "RE Director's Cut" isn't on this? I thought that theme music was awsome!! Better than the original & remake version of the 1st RE. But I must agree with Kapo465, there was nothing spectacular about RE 5's save room theme music.

While the Code Veronica save room theme is beautiful. I can't help but think it detracts from the overall mood of the game. While REs 0, 1, 2 and 3's save themes made you feel safe for now, ie- You're okay in this room, but you'll face certain death going outside. CV's made me feel as though as if I wasn't in a RE game anymore, and I wasn't in a building full of zombies and monsters.
