only way to solve this problem is stop buying shit, live off the land, home gardens for a year or two, will destroy the monetary system, destroy all corporate profits, etc. Or, hire assasins and kill all elites, ninjas perferably. then change the government, make a whole new one, a government based on a resource economy instead of monetary, sorta like the "venus project." build robots and spaceship to start colonizing space. research nanao tech and stem cell to live forever
I've watched several Michael Moore films and while I'm just a high school kid, I believe that corporations do buy off political representatives/leaders early on by campaign donations and backing in the races. We do need people that don't have ulterior motives like tax breaks to the rich or granting bailouts to companies that made really stupid moves
In the "Liberty Walk" video at 1:20, you're trying to walk on the sidewalk and an NYPD policewoman is standing in front of you and sticking her gloved hand in your face.
@HK3StarGeneral So Dr. MLK Jr. was NOT a good guy because he protested? Ok, if you say so. B T Dubs, I got a book for you on American History. It's all about how you don't know anything. Great, I expect a 6-page paper on how protesting is an American Tradition much like burning witches and pepper spraying cops and pedestrians at the same time.
@BriarRouge When did I ever say protesting was wrong? MLK protested for equality when it came to civil rights. His cause was just. OWS's cause is anything but just. Its a false movement made up of morons who have no idea what they are protesting, and those select few who have a shred of intelligence are protesting the wrong people. Its the government that is the problem, not the banks. Also, The GS act had nothing to do with the situation we are in.
@HK3StarGeneral OH MY FUCKING LORD. How do you still not understand what this is about. Someone send this man a flyer. Put down your X-BOX controller/closest thing to a relationship you've ever had, and turn on the news, read the paper, maybe even go outside.
@BriarRouge I'm very informed about whats going on. Everything that these people are bitching about can all be traced back to government getting involved in area's of the private sector that they had no business getting involved with. Also, unlike most OWS, I work a 40+ hour a week job and actually contribute to society rather than disrupting commerce and destroying private businesses, because that is all they have done since they started a little over 2 months ago. Oh, and I'm married.
@LegoInc Hey fuck-face, stop being a fascist. In accordance with most of EARTH's laws, you can actually walk down the street, express yourself, AND get pepper sprayed with or (in my case) WITHOUT disobeying a cop. Do some research and get back at me, dip shit.
@hilaryl16 Have you ever gotten pepper sprayed by a cop when you were trying to walk down the street? NO? How odd! And here you thought your opinion was valid. If you really think this is all about getting maced, you're a fucking idiot who needs to open their eyes and pay attention. Dip shit.
I know this has nothing to do with what's going on ,but she's kind of hot. Back on topic , that was awful Chelsea and I hope those fucking 'pigs' get what's coming to them.
I see your point about wanting to change a lot of what is going on. I am curious about what Occupy Wall streets first goals are. what are your first steps. What do you first hope to accomplish. There are so many goals. I agree with a lot of what occupy wall street says but it seems to me the first steps to accomplishing the goals are not very clear at least to me if you enlighten me I would be appreciative.
@brentkillian See that's the thing. They just yell out what's wrong with the world, which any fool can do, but make no proposition as to how to fix it. This "protest" is a waste of time and city resources. I don't know about wallstreet but in Van our city has spend thousands of dollars cleaning up after these people and providing medical support which is actually quite hypocritical since they're the ones wasting the taxpayers money.
ur kinda cute, a girl anyway. btw that wasn't milk ur knight poured in ur eyes. Can I stay in ur tent? btw ur in wrong city, take the drum circle to DC

BURN THE BANKS. BURN DRUG LORDS ALIVE & OCCUPY THE WORLD...!!!
I was mortified when I saw the mace spray video, but even more shocked when I saw that you and a few other women were unfairly singled out and trapped before getting sprayed. Congrats for not getting discouraged and giving up though, we need more people like you. :)
@Chelsea Well known fact, thank you. Its actually a gamertag. But, then why justify myself to one whom doesn't use punctuation. Also, it fills the YouTube screen name limit. Alas, allow me to beg your forgiveness for misspelling a word on the magnificent world wide web.
@gannen33 Never specified women. If you take "Your kind" to mean women, then you misunderstood the comment. Both sentences, combined with the subject matter of this video, give it the meaning that those whom cannot walk more than 2.4 miles and are ignorant enough to protest "Wallstreet", shouldn't make babies.
@SocratesProdgy Some Socrates prodigy you seem to be; judging people based on their physical state after marching 2.4 miles and making hypocritical claims on their ignorance based on your own personal opinions. I would have thought that any level headed human being would think it much more ignorant to claim that this woman's physical abilities determine whether she should or should not procreate. You sully the name of Socrates. Perhaps it is you who should not procreate.
@SocratesProdgy did you here what happened to her? seriously man think before you comment she was maced in the face and you only care about how she was tired after marching 2.4 miles?
@gamersgeneric Yes I did understand but, even military grade mace doesn't cause any physical harm, just some temporary discomfort. We get so worked up over the police macing protestors, when, in fact, its not that big a deal. Now if they resort to rubberized bullets, then I will be concerned for there well being.
@TheGettoburd Not sure this person should have been maced. While I do think she should be in Washington and not NYC, I respect her right to protest where ever she sees fit. We don't agree on everything, but we do share common ground. We understand that something is wrong and it needs to be addressed. True, I'm a capitalist pig and a pure conservative. However, we agree that the banks should have NEVER been bailed out. I think we should have let the banks fail. Bad decisions can't be rewarded.
@TheGettoburd That's so true. Protesting makes everything worse and then nothing changes ever. Oh, wait! What's this book right here? American History?? Oh, would you look at that! Protesting seems to be exactly how Americans draw attention to major civil issues. Good thing we didn't protest. All those women voting and black people drinking out of white people fountains would really have fucked up America.
Please, get a GED before you decide your 1 cent in.
You guys really need to turn your focus on Washington. Wall Street really isn't the problem. It was our elected officials that allowed this to happen. They are the ones who repealed and passed laws that made the meltdown of 2008 possible. We need to vote for change. We need to: BAN all political contributions. BAN all Lobbies and Unions from Capital Hill. PASS Term Limits so we don't have guys in office for 40 years getting cozy with Unions and Business. The problem is Washington not Wall Street.
Yes and no. I live in New York and while Washington is the center of government, New York is the center of finance and media. It is out government's fault for not regulating these companies, however over the course of the last 30 years it has reached a point where the corporations themselves are controlling the gov't. Just look at Goldman Sachs and the hold they have on congress and the fed. We are dealing with Neofeudalism. Term limits aren't just the problem because even if someone
Respond to this video... has a specific term limit, after their term is up many corporations will bribe them with cushy overpaying jobs and they will still have close washington ties. Our government has been systematically manipulated over the past 30 years to become a money machine for Wall Street. It is much bigger that Wall Street and Washington. Occupy wherever you are because the effects are felt everywhere
@imachelsea People are now talking about the problem. I own a business, but that doesn't make me evil. I make less than 250k a year and over half of that goes to federal and state taxes. My company employs 23 people, but I'm not Rich. I may be a Capitalist. However, we share common ground. We know the "Banker Bailout" was WRONG! It was Crony Capitalism and we want it to stop. We want Washington to serve us again. Do you believe in a political soulution or something else? How would you fix this?
To understand the happenings of today we must study the past. This study begins with Rothschild. After taking control England's central bank they are quoted with saying it matters not who makes the laws as long as I control the money supply. You'll encounter Smedley Butler, Andrew Jackson, Lincoln and Russian czar Alexander, Bolshevik revolution, Garfield, Wilson, and you'll encounter Warburg, Rockefeller, eugenics, Nazi's,. Bush, De Beers, Morgan, + other well known names
@coolasj Don't get me wrong, she's definitely not a bad speaker. Also, the fact that her signs were addressing Glass-Steagall proves she's sharp and not too unrealistic. I just think if she were an exceptional speaker, we would have an attractive, sharp, and charismatic spokeswoman that could really drive the movement.
@louMacNtire Cool, do you want to hire me? I've been looking for work for months in GA with a BA. More jobs have turned me down for being OVER QUALIFIED than I've actually applied for. Wrap your go-nads around that, fascist.
@BriarRouge Having a BA doesn't over qualify you for any job. All it does is let people know you spent the last 3-4 years in school not learning how to work in the real world. You're not special for it and you're not better for it. You still have ladders to climb before you get a good job.
If you want to go protest because your ego won't take applying for a job at a fast-food joint - Go ahead. Don't expect everyone who earns a LIVING working 40+hours a week to agree with it though.
@BriarRouge get a ged? you're demented. you understand that the people then had actual set goals? These occupy wall street people are doing nothing to help anyone. They were babied their whole lives, many are socialist, communist, and anti-capitalist. Capitalism is what made this country and they are mad because things aren't going their way. Because of them the NYPD have spent 8 million dollars in 2 months just to maintain security
@BriarRouge they also went to protest at subways stations.... now why would they do that if they are mad at the rich wall street folks? why don't they go make a point protesting at taxi's or limosines, because I'm pretty damn sure the millionaires are taking the subways stations... its the working middle class who takes the subways so they are only causing problems to those who they are supposedly protesting for! This occupy wall street is not a fucking protest its a joke and embarressment.
I'm not really for or against the protest. As far as i can tell all it's doing is saying "hey. things suck" which we already knew..
But honestly most of your credibility to me goes down when i see "JOIN US! I promise, it's fun!" Protests aren't suppose to be "fun," they're suppose to be about getting a serious message across.
If you're out parading the streets, causing havoc for "fun," you deserve to be pepper sprayed.
she learned about finance??? whe os she then protesting infront of the wall street... she should know that stopping the brookers causes damages of millions of dollars...
Fail movement is fail. Nothing will change and most of the protesters will vote to re-elect Obama. P.S. This girl is clearly full of shit when she says she was a "pedestrian at that point."
@svenypoodles basically in the most basic form... Theyre getting people to wake up look around and say "wow things have gone to shit and we need to do something about it but it's d to understand because there are so many reasons this has happened watch Phillip defranco he explains it well in his most recent video
I don't understand what you guys want. All I can find online is schedules for protesting, freedom of speech issues, or police brutality. What are your goals? Why do you have these goals?
@svenypoodles We are protesting because our government has become overwhelmingly corrupted by corporate greed to the point where it is no longer functioning and our economy is doomed. 43% of our nation's wealth is controlled by 1% of our population. This wealth was not acquired through the merits of their work or innovation, rather the exploitation of elected officials and individuals. Through sleazy derivatives, toxic mortgages, and speculation they have amassed this wealth and no accountabiliy
@imachelsea 1st of all how do you know that the 1% earnings were not merited. I agree that it is a ridiculous statistic that shouldn't be, but I haven't seen anything about the actual means by which this statistic has come to be. 2nd what are your goals? I understand the problem, as does pretty much any educated individual living in this society, but what does the occupy group or even da propose we do about it?
Respond to this video... Every civilization falls with the demise of our middle class. It is not so simple as a few policy changes. A complete revision is necessary; a clean sweep of congress; prosecution of those who systematically destroyed our and the global economy; a return to reformative business laws that were enacted following the Great Depression; and a return to an actual democratic state verses the neofeudalism that is becoming prevelant
@rabbitch10 I have heard of Mr. Assange. I think it's terrible what they are trying to do to him for exposing the truth, but that doesn't make your attacks on the US any more valid. I mean, yeah this country is screwed up, it's not perfect, but capitalism has payed for the public education that allows me to write a well thought out and correctly spelled paragraph. (It's THOUSANDS of people). The few military squads that do apparently rape and kill for fun are not doing so under orders.
@Puma387 public education? my country have payed me, i go to the university in sweden. i get 2000 kr wich is about 260 dollar cuz im student. how many in your country can get payed to go to the university? zero? how many have to pay a debt that they can never pay cuz the university is sooo expensive? THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of people?
your answer was no good. you need to try harder to find something good about capitalist and the USA. if you cant find one than i can only say FUCK CAPITALISM!
@Sloner5150 you'r funny ... immiture pause... not. im studying engineer. so I do not have to speak or talk properley in other languish. i have a better vocabulary in swedish. i guess you only can talk english... so yeah. you are preatty stupid is my main point
@rabbitch10 Lol, at least use a spell check or something when you're calling someone else stupid.. I don't like to laugh out loud at insults directed at me.. Makes me feel bad for you....
@Sloner5150 du är för ignorant för att förstå något annat än ditt eget lilla skit språk. jag kan lova dig att du bara kan engelska men försök att rätta mig när jag skriver på svenska så ska vi se vem som förstår mest. du, ditt land och din kapitalistiska ledare kan begå självmord. det enda usa har gjort är att de har förstört världen. undersund that, than can you come to argu about spelling
@rabbitch10 "you are too ignorant to understand anything except your own little crap language. I can promise you that you only speak English but try to correct me when I write in Swedish and we'll see who understands the most. you, your country and capitalist leaders can commit suicide. the only thing the usa has done is that they have destroyed the world" .. Alright then apparently I'm to ignorant to use google lol some people.. Still failing to do anything but fail Mr. Rabbitch10
@rabbitch10 Well apparently capitalist aren't nearly as angry as you are, though i must commend you for your spelling. And yes, public education, sure i have to pay to go to a university, but that's part of capitalism. And I'd like to state that 260 USD isn't very much money. Needless to say I have no problem with Sweden, it's a great country, the lore of vikings is especially interesting to me. Oh yeah, so is the High-Tech capitalism and extensive welfare that dominate the economy.
@rabbitch10 Capitalism brings you the computer you used to view the video and type your ignorant comment. The picture is larger than the eyes of those protesting. For many do not see the truth behind it all. Capitalism is a wonderful system, in and, of itself. Its the greedy politician that ruins the system for the people. Grass is always greener on the other side. If the people really want to tryout socialism, then please, lets do so.
@SocratesProdgy no, socialism bought me my computer... YEEZZZ usa hate communism so much and they do not know the diffrence between socialism, communism and marxism... FFS GO AND LEARN!! you hate something and you do not know what it is... thats just being stupid. But i didnt expect more from some in in USA...
@rabbitch10 Actually Capitalism did buy you your computer. Remember, personal computers where first produced in America. I see that you have an active YouTube account, a service designed by an American company, owned by Google, which progressed through Capitalism. I do not hate communism but, I oppose it do to the fact that it does not work on a large scale. Socialistic governments, which includes Marxism and Communism, rarely ever succeed. History shows us this.
@SocratesProdgy socilism do exist and do work. sweden and norway are living prof of that. but sadly i have seen many propaganda about comminism and socilism in usa. no wonder why you think that it's the worst idoelogy (don know how to spell it)
@SocratesProdgy ps just cuz some one in USA envented youtube dosent mean that capitalist made it. it like saying communist created tetris or socilism created minecraft. that dosent make any seans.
@SocratesProdgy I shall also take note of the evident hypocrisy and ignorance in your comment concerning your username. Perhaps you should fix your own grammar mistakes before you criticise those of others. "Its actually a gamertag". The evident lack of an apostrophe clearly highlights the hypocrisy in your criticism of Chelsea's punctuation. I should also point out that a correct use of grammar is more of a convenience than a requirement, considering you understood what she said perfectly well.
@blitzviridis Astute observation. I'm glad you took the time to search for that. And you are correct, proper grammer is more of a convenience than a requirement. But, whether you consider it a slaughtering of the English language or the natural progression of society, proper grammar should always be used to the best of ones ability. To make light of such a overlooked subject is partial to the current downfall of a once profitable country. That's not to say I blame her for contributing.
@SocratesProdgy I do not condemn you for your mistake as much as I disagree with the hypocrisy of criticising another's grammar in the sentence directly after a mistake of your own. Whether one should use proper grammar or not is a decision of their own to make. Many consider grammar as a waste of time considering you can understand my point whether I use correct grammar or not.
@SocratesProdgy I should add that, personally, I believe that the use of language is to convey thoughts, facts, ideas, beliefs, ect to others. As long as you are able to do this, grammar is not a necessity. I prefer to get into the habit of using my best grammar so that when I need to provide a good impression I will be less likely to mess up. It also pleases many people such as yourself who seem to dislike the use of incorrect grammar... Which in my opinion is just a nice bonus.
@blitzviridis You may use grammar however you please but, then those whom do such, often are the ones griping about cuts in education. I was educated, therefore I use my education. It does please me to see one use proper grammar but, understand that it does not anger me when they do not. Let me re-route our conversation back to the offending comment, that had I made. She, in turn, called me on my user name, so I call her on her errors in a minute retaliation. Vis a vis Cogito ergo sum.
@SocratesProdgy Fair enough I suppose. Congrats on the Latin remark. I will admit I only understand "Cogito ergo sum" (having not taken Latin myself, only picking up a few famous remarks here and there). Perhaps Would it be right to say that your initial comment was "Ad Hominem"? Meaning that it attacked the person rather than what she said. If that is the case then it is a logical fallacy. Or so my education has taught me.
@blitzviridis Impressive even knowing one phrase in Latin, majority wouldn't, even recognized it. Most would have to Google it. But, back on subject. Logical or Philosophical ideas/thoughts, do not always have to be used by themselves. Combining two or more different theories is a natural process. They are only taught individually to simplify understanding. You are also right in that my initial comment was presented as Ad Hominem. But, my explanation to you was presented in Cogita ergo sum.
@kvj1989 I think the cops did their job when it came to the few protesters who were not peaceful, but seeing as there were non-violent protesters who were maced and beaten for simply expressing their first amendment rights. I don't necessarily agree with the motives, but they still have the right to protest the government and should not be assaulted unless they are violent.
@kvj1989 The word you were looking for is actual. People have the right to protest their government. That's a fact. We are not just worker bees. We are human beings. We can step out of line if we want to; we have that right. If no laws are being broken, then we, as Americans, have the right to protest the government.
@kvj1989 I think you're missing the point... what you're saying makes sense if protester's are non-violent. The one's who were deserved to be stopped, but the non-violent ones didn't. Anyway, arguing will get us nowhere. We obviously have differing opinions, so no compromise will be made. Goodbye stranger.
You don't like society? you don't like how things are run? then get the fuck out you treehugging fairy.
No they aren't ''non violent''.
They stop everything, they walk down the street and on the road so cars can go trough, they distract other people at their jobs by screaming their fucking longs out.
The people themselves stop working so everything is slowed down.
Our economy is fucked up if none of you have noticed and so you may call the protesters hippies and you may call chelsea dramatic but in the end these people are at least trying to do something while the majority of us sit on our asses and don't do shit. And then you somehow think you have the right to look down upon her or there movement without while you sit on your ass? That's just bullshit. What happened was real and is unforgiveable.
All of you people bashing America and it's " law system", fuck off. This was only ONE cops action that started this whole thing. Look what's happening around you. that's why Britain police couldn't control London riots. And those police in that middle eastern country are worse especially when they gassed those people in that garage and beat anybody who tried to stop them.
Unbelievable. I just saw the video of you getting sprayed. There was absolutely no reason for it or for anyone else to be attacked or arrested. It WAS a peaceful protest. Its just sad... Its scary when people like that officer are given badges! That guy was on a rampage, HE was the one using violence. I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope that girl you mentioned that got thrown to the ground by her hair is okay. :(
Please don't let this horrible incident silence you. Inequality is a monster. It doesn't disappear when left in the darkness. Only shining the light on it will ever defeat it.
Do you all wish to change the economic system of the United States? Do you wish to abolish capitalism - the system that has made this country the most powerful and influential in the world? Your dreams of what you wish humanity to be are impossible, it will never happen because humans are selfish by nature. And with selfishness, comes virtue. Look at your iPhones, PCs, TVs, and every other wonderful invention of the world - Innovation is man's beauty, capitalism allows for it.
I am going to post this to my facebook page. I have been putting posts about what happened on facebook for a while now and I think this video will help get the word out even more.
I've seen the video of you getting corralled, and I am so sorry this happened. Please just keep spreading your story, and I hope one day these pathetic excuses for law enforcement and human beings will get what they deserve, the least of which should be unemployment. I'm glad to see you're alright physically, and keep fighting the fight. I respect you and those you are working with in New York.
I gurantee half the people who were protesting were either high or drunk. It's people like you who make it difficult for our government to focus on actual issues, like education or the war in Afghanistan. There is a problem with it. The Soviet Union declined because of revolutions by protesters. Agree or disagree, what I say is true.
@LEric49 It should not be a bloody war by any means, if anything the government is instigating violence as exemplified by this girls story. As far as I'm concerned, this conflict within our country would not be solved on a battlefield; protests suffice until the people are heard. We're not talking a government overthrow like in Libya, we're talking about reforms. Protests allow the people's voice to be heard. When our voice is heard things get done. Good things.
@xoheartsongxo I'm pretty sure your voice is heard , so what now? protest until reforms are done? keep filling streets , keep preventing people getting to work? Keep occupying the roads trucks need to keep economy running?
Maybe occupy it 24/7 so no trucks with food etc can make it to the stores and starve out your own city?
Or like that time in Paris and parts France , make it so no one can get fuel?
I don't see much use in this protestin , your voice is heard , now it is getting silly...
@LEric49 "keep filling streets , keep preventing people getting to work? Keep occupying the roads trucks need to keep economy running?"
Umm You obviously haven't been to New York before. Wall Street is more a tourist attraction and symbol than anything else other than the people who work in the area having to go through a slightly bigger crowd it's not disrupting anything. And protesting does do something while I don't agree with the Tea Party look how far right Repubs have gone to please them.
@LEric49 Yes, keep protesting. That's the point in protesting, protest until reform happens. Make it clear that the people for whom this nation was founded for are disgruntled at being seconded by the corporate citizen. Make it clear that Wall street is not main street which transports the food and workers you are so concerned about. Make it clear that serving big business will not trickle down or by some invisible hand aide the majority. Protest, for it is our right and responsibility.
Hell yeah, you Americans , please keep protesting and blocking of financial spots in the US , jam the traffic and siege the city! I love it , this is exactly what the rest of the world needs , the united states of America are losing money hand over fist and will lose it even faster when these protests fill the streets making it so no one can get to work/school! Lets hope the hard working people in the rest of the world make the best of their country while they can, and work for it!
@LEric49 There are a ton of hard working people in the US. It's totally unjust to group all Americans into one section. We're not all slobs, slackers, overly obese and jerks.
Stay focused stay strong, what you guys are doing is incredibly important. Massive dissent is the only way to stop tyranny!! Would be there with you if I were not in Calgary, good luck with everything stay safe.
Why bother protesting? What did you achieve other than getting maced? Face it. You cannot change the way the country is run. If I were American, I wouldn't want my taxes wasted on the police having to control crowds of protesters. I would want them keeping real scumbags off the streets and not pointless groups of people trying to change the world. Thanks for wasting police time. You are all real model citizens.
@EternityInValhalla americans protest because they r born with it as a right when americans want to get rid of something or change somethig that is wrong with the government or other things.
@XxPUR3HAVOCxX She obviously saw the good number of videos of seeing herself get sprayed by O'Bologna to be able to accurately make that statement. The internet is a wonderful thing.
Ugh, It's just some stupid, unorganized protest that got out of hand but still doesn't matter because it's just for hipsters to try and gain notoriety (like most protests in modern day America) Theres nothing to respect here it's just a bunch of stupid kids at the end of the day.
@Mangydangly Nope. It's a bunch of college kids with lost money in a crappy monetized college system, AND people of all other age ranges, with or without jobs, out there protesting. Some have been without jobs with months, some for at least a year, actively looking to no avail.
If you are comfortable where you sit, then good for you. I am comfortable where I sit, but to say we DO NOT have a problem is this country is turning a blind eye to your fellow men and women, and fellow American.
@Mangydangly It's pretty much the same here in the UK. Stupid kids thinking they're going to get on the news etc or just going along for the bragging rites.
only way to solve this problem is stop buying shit, live off the land, home gardens for a year or two, will destroy the monetary system, destroy all corporate profits, etc. Or, hire assasins and kill all elites, ninjas perferably. then change the government, make a whole new one, a government based on a resource economy instead of monetary, sorta like the "venus project." build robots and spaceship to start colonizing space. research nanao tech and stem cell to live forever

I see your point about wanting to change a lot of what is going on. I am curious about what Occupy Wall streets first goals are. what are your first steps. What do you first hope to accomplish. There are so many goals. I agree with a lot of what occupy wall street says but it seems to me the first steps to accomplishing the goals are not very clear at least to me if you enlighten me I would be appreciative.
brentkillian 4 months ago
@brentkillian See that's the thing. They just yell out what's wrong with the world, which any fool can do, but make no proposition as to how to fix it. This "protest" is a waste of time and city resources. I don't know about wallstreet but in Van our city has spend thousands of dollars cleaning up after these people and providing medical support which is actually quite hypocritical since they're the ones wasting the taxpayers money.

@Chelsea Well known fact, thank you. Its actually a gamertag. But, then why justify myself to one whom doesn't use punctuation. Also, it fills the YouTube screen name limit. Alas, allow me to beg your forgiveness for misspelling a word on the magnificent world wide web.

@SocratesProdgy Women.. Shouldn't procreate? Good luck with that man.
gannen33 4 months ago
@gannen33 Never specified women. If you take "Your kind" to mean women, then you misunderstood the comment. Both sentences, combined with the subject matter of this video, give it the meaning that those whom cannot walk more than 2.4 miles and are ignorant enough to protest "Wallstreet", shouldn't make babies.
SocratesProdgy 4 months ago
@SocratesProdgy Some Socrates prodigy you seem to be; judging people based on their physical state after marching 2.4 miles and making hypocritical claims on their ignorance based on your own personal opinions. I would have thought that any level headed human being would think it much more ignorant to claim that this woman's physical abilities determine whether she should or should not procreate. You sully the name of Socrates. Perhaps it is you who should not procreate.

Event762 4 months ago

Event762 4 months ago 11
@Event762
Term limits aren't just the problem because even if someone
imachelsea 4 months ago
Respond to this video... has a specific term limit, after their term is up many corporations will bribe them with cushy overpaying jobs and they will still have close washington ties. Our government has been systematically manipulated over the past 30 years to become a money machine for Wall Street. It is much bigger that Wall Street and Washington. Occupy wherever you are because the effects are felt everywhere
imachelsea 4 months ago
@imachelsea People are now talking about the problem. I own a business, but that doesn't make me evil. I make less than 250k a year and over half of that goes to federal and state taxes. My company employs 23 people, but I'm not Rich. I may be a Capitalist. However, we share common ground. We know the "Banker Bailout" was WRONG! It was Crony Capitalism and we want it to stop. We want Washington to serve us again. Do you believe in a political soulution or something else? How would you fix this?

BriarRouge 3 months ago
@BriarRouge Having a BA doesn't over qualify you for any job. All it does is let people know you spent the last 3-4 years in school not learning how to work in the real world. You're not special for it and you're not better for it. You still have ladders to climb before you get a good job.
If you want to go protest because your ego won't take applying for a job at a fast-food joint - Go ahead. Don't expect everyone who earns a LIVING working 40+hours a week to agree with it though.
louMacNtire 3 months ago
@BriarRouge get a ged? you're demented. you understand that the people then had actual set goals? These occupy wall street people are doing nothing to help anyone. They were babied their whole lives, many are socialist, communist, and anti-capitalist. Capitalism is what made this country and they are mad because things aren't going their way. Because of them the NYPD have spent 8 million dollars in 2 months just to maintain security
TheGettoburd 3 months ago
@BriarRouge they also went to protest at subways stations.... now why would they do that if they are mad at the rich wall street folks? why don't they go make a point protesting at taxi's or limosines, because I'm pretty damn sure the millionaires are taking the subways stations... its the working middle class who takes the subways so they are only causing problems to those who they are supposedly protesting for! This occupy wall street is not a fucking protest its a joke and embarressment.

I'm not really for or against the protest. As far as i can tell all it's doing is saying "hey. things suck" which we already knew..

Through sleazy derivatives, toxic mortgages, and speculation they have amassed this wealth and no accountabiliy
imachelsea 4 months ago
@imachelsea 1st of all how do you know that the 1% earnings were not merited. I agree that it is a ridiculous statistic that shouldn't be, but I haven't seen anything about the actual means by which this statistic has come to be. 2nd what are your goals? I understand the problem, as does pretty much any educated individual living in this society, but what does the occupy group or even da propose we do about it?
svenypoodles 4 months ago

Puma387 4 months ago
@rabbitch10 Capitalism brings you the computer you used to view the video and type your ignorant comment. The picture is larger than the eyes of those protesting. For many do not see the truth behind it all. Capitalism is a wonderful system, in and, of itself. Its the greedy politician that ruins the system for the people. Grass is always greener on the other side. If the people really want to tryout socialism, then please, lets do so.

I should also point out that a correct use of grammar is more of a convenience than a requirement, considering you understood what she said perfectly well.
blitzviridis 4 months ago
@blitzviridis Astute observation. I'm glad you took the time to search for that. And you are correct, proper grammer is more of a convenience than a requirement. But, whether you consider it a slaughtering of the English language or the natural progression of society, proper grammar should always be used to the best of ones ability. To make light of such a overlooked subject is partial to the current downfall of a once profitable country. That's not to say I blame her for contributing.
SocratesProdgy 4 months ago
@SocratesProdgy I do not condemn you for your mistake as much as I disagree with the hypocrisy of criticising another's grammar in the sentence directly after a mistake of your own. Whether one should use proper grammar or not is a decision of their own to make. Many consider grammar as a waste of time considering you can understand my point whether I use correct grammar or not.
blitzviridis 4 months ago
@SocratesProdgy I should add that, personally, I believe that the use of language is to convey thoughts, facts, ideas, beliefs, ect to others. As long as you are able to do this, grammar is not a necessity. I prefer to get into the habit of using my best grammar so that when I need to provide a good impression I will be less likely to mess up. It also pleases many people such as yourself who seem to dislike the use of incorrect grammar... Which in my opinion is just a nice bonus.
blitzviridis 4 months ago
@blitzviridis You may use grammar however you please but, then those whom do such, often are the ones griping about cuts in education. I was educated, therefore I use my education. It does please me to see one use proper grammar but, understand that it does not anger me when they do not. Let me re-route our conversation back to the offending comment, that had I made. She, in turn, called me on my user name, so I call her on her errors in a minute retaliation. Vis a vis Cogito ergo sum.
SocratesProdgy 4 months ago
@SocratesProdgy Fair enough I suppose. Congrats on the Latin remark. I will admit I only understand "Cogito ergo sum" (having not taken Latin myself, only picking up a few famous remarks here and there). Perhaps Would it be right to say that your initial comment was "Ad Hominem"? Meaning that it attacked the person rather than what she said. If that is the case then it is a logical fallacy. Or so my education has taught me.
blitzviridis 4 months ago in playlist More videos from imachelsea
@blitzviridis Impressive even knowing one phrase in Latin, majority wouldn't, even recognized it. Most would have to Google it. But, back on subject. Logical or Philosophical ideas/thoughts, do not always have to be used by themselves. Combining two or more different theories is a natural process. They are only taught individually to simplify understanding. You are also right in that my initial comment was presented as Ad Hominem. But, my explanation to you was presented in Cogita ergo sum.

Ever watch lie to me? your eyes seem to avoid the camera at very telling moments. Just a flicker but if you slow it down it is there...
I am not saying you are lying about what happened, just watch coining on to sensationalism as this is pretty close to capitalism.

Pencils1999 4 months ago
@Pencils1999 Ever heard of the American Revolution?
We need to stand up when our government stops focusing on the basic needs of it's citizens.

@xoheartsongxo
So you want to start another bloody war inside of the United States?
You did just compare it with one of the bloodiest wars on the soil of the US...
Your governement asks so much of you Americans, you are willing to take up arms and risk your own lives? The lives of you friends? Family?
You do realize , that if some sort of "libya"ish situtation ever happens in the US , the United Nations won't be able to help at all right?

@LEric49 It should not be a bloody war by any means, if anything the government is instigating violence as exemplified by this girls story. As far as I'm concerned, this conflict within our country would not be solved on a battlefield; protests suffice until the people are heard. We're not talking a government overthrow like in Libya, we're talking about reforms. Protests allow the people's voice to be heard. When our voice is heard things get done. Good things.
xoheartsongxo 4 months ago
@xoheartsongxo I'm pretty sure your voice is heard , so what now? protest until reforms are done? keep filling streets , keep preventing people getting to work? Keep occupying the roads trucks need to keep economy running?
Maybe occupy it 24/7 so no trucks with food etc can make it to the stores and starve out your own city?
Or like that time in Paris and parts France , make it so no one can get fuel?
I don't see much use in this protestin , your voice is heard , now it is getting silly...
LEric49 4 months ago
@LEric49 "keep filling streets , keep preventing people getting to work? Keep occupying the roads trucks need to keep economy running?"
Umm You obviously haven't been to New York before. Wall Street is more a tourist attraction and symbol than anything else other than the people who work in the area having to go through a slightly bigger crowd it's not disrupting anything. And protesting does do something while I don't agree with the Tea Party look how far right Repubs have gone to please them.
SumFreshDkaf 4 months ago

LEric49 4 months ago 2
@LEric49 There are a ton of hard working people in the US. It's totally unjust to group all Americans into one section. We're not all slobs, slackers, overly obese and jerks.

EricJaffa 4 months ago 3
Why bother protesting? What did you achieve other than getting maced? Face it. You cannot change the way the country is run. If I were American, I wouldn't want my taxes wasted on the police having to control crowds of protesters. I would want them keeping real scumbags off the streets and not pointless groups of people trying to change the world. Thanks for wasting police time. You are all real model citizens.

@EternityInValhalla americans protest because they r born with it as a right when americans want to get rid of something or change somethig that is wrong with the government or other things.

Ugh, It's just some stupid, unorganized protest that got out of hand but still doesn't matter because it's just for hipsters to try and gain notoriety (like most protests in modern day America) Theres nothing to respect here it's just a bunch of stupid kids at the end of the day.
Mangydangly 4 months ago
@Mangydangly Nope. It's a bunch of college kids with lost money in a crappy monetized college system, AND people of all other age ranges, with or without jobs, out there protesting. Some have been without jobs with months, some for at least a year, actively looking to no avail.
If you are comfortable where you sit, then good for you. I am comfortable where I sit, but to say we DO NOT have a problem is this country is turning a blind eye to your fellow men and women, and fellow American.
JinsokuMan 4 months ago
@Mangydangly It's pretty much the same here in the UK. Stupid kids thinking they're going to get on the news etc or just going along for the bragging rites.
