@shoa31 are you being serious at all? Launching 1 nuke into a hurricane is enough just 1 nuke could destroy over 3 states in the u.s. Also causes pollution making the waters worse than they are now. not to mention the death of a load of innocent people radiation travels that's how the u.s is seeing radiation in the waters in maryland and California. And the amount of money for a nuke every time will ruin everything. Today I read a science book about hurricanes there is over 66 in texas a year.

@edge3171 Ok, if you don't like nukes, then we can both come up with plans on how to destroy hurricanes that are threatening populated areas. Since hurricanes feeds off warm water, we should drag an iceberg into the threaten area and cool down the water. Or we can spray mercury into the air using a carrier plane. Mercury are heavey and it will weigh down the comig storm. This will keep the fishes save and the sushi wrapped.

Launching a nuke would probably have little or any affect on a hurricane. A nuclear bomb will not come close to destroying 3 states even thought they are very powerful. The blast area of total destruction is not as big as you would think. The radiation would affect a larger area but radiation cannot affect a hurricane since it can't get radiation sickness. lol You would end up with a nuclear and natural disaster at the same time.

In order to stop such hurricane into reaching populated area is by shooting nukes into the eye and hope for the best. With a tornado, prepare a nuke when the eye is right over the silo and blow it up, this will save many lives.

@joytech23: It would be very difficult to do that as a 2-D simulation. The plane of view is continually changing, so it would mean saving other planes through time rather than space. Easier to do 3D and then visualize it.
